***Detroit Tigers thread: 1st pick yet again, this is not fun*** (2 Viewers)

Jason Beck@beckjason

Looked like Anibal Sanchez tweaked something under his right arm. Warmup pitch doesn't look right. He's done.

Rookies smookies

ETA: That was almost as shocking as Raji's 9th HR earlier this year

Did not see that coming

Fun stat of the day: Kinsler hit .151 at Rogers last year, and his .174 career average is the worst of any park. 3-5 tonight.

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef1/4 cup chopped onion1/4 cup chopped green bell pepper1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard

3/4 cup ketchup3 teaspoons brown sugarsalt to tasteground black pepper to taste

This team stinks, I'm sticking with that train of thought until they are 20 games above .500. :bye:
Greatest calls in the history of FBGs:

Finless: Tiger is done ('09 PLAYERS)

GM(?): Tony Romo is not a PTP

Judge Smails: Last place Dodgers are a 5 star mortal lock to win the division (soon after they went on the historic 42-8 run)

DD: ?

Hopefully Anibal is only down with a pec strain and it has zero to do with his shoulder.

At the Orioles games tonight crowd went nuts when they found out Tigers scored three in the 9th to take the Jays. I gotta let's go Tigers chant going in the stands. :hifive:

Mad Max - 106 superb pitches, 8.0/4/1/1/0/11

Sloppy Joe - 28 pitches, 0.1/2/1/1/2/0

Nice job by Soria to get the last 2 outs with the bases loaded

3-4-5 hitters last night: 1-12

Cabrerra - VMart - Torii today: 1-10, and couldn't get a ball out of the infield in the top of the 9th on 13 pitches

It's time to just go to Soria. Nathan is done and if he's not let him work his #### out in middle relief instead of blowing games in the 9th.

Nathan had good movement last night - 6 swinging strikes - but that was a long, sloppy outing.

Not sure what our rookie manager was thinking bringing him back out today.

Soria has had either 1 or 2 swinging strikes since we acquired him. I know you guys are sick of Nathan (we all are) but that's not the solution IMO.

Max looked as good as you can look leaving the 8th. Pulling him for clueless joe was a total botch job.
I'm not a fan of overextending the starters ...but Max was at, what, 104 or 106 pitches? If nothing else, give him a shot at a quick out or two and narrow the odds of a reliever screwing up. I have to believe Max wanted to go back out.

@NeilWeinberg44: Joe Nathan needs to break his own hand at this point for the good of the team. Only way to get Ausmus to stop this.

Why?? Max is being paid 16 million and Max is not coming back so use him like a rental car.

That's a bingo!

Sanchez and Soria both placed on DL. Sanchez reportedly out 3-4 weeks, Soria 2-3 weeks. Robbie Ray being called up Wednesday to start. No other players were mentioned.

A game which should have been an easy W, now in the 17th with little chance to win.
Porcello not looking too comfortable with the first batters in the 17th. And yes ...should have been an easy win. First Coke, then Jobo. Then an inability to get runs home in the extra innings. Turrible!!!

eta: Use Kinsler with his knuckleball, if needed.

6 hours and 37 minutes with 19 innings both records for Blue Jays. I never dreamed the Tigers could lose back to back games when Max and Price started.
