Deuce and Bush (1 Viewer)

Have two RBs of such a high quality ever spent this much time on the field together? I figure they were both on the field around 75% of the time. Once that offense gets in sync, they are going to be a defensive coordinators nightmare.

Three tandems that include a guy with more 1,000 yard seasons than McAllister:

Terry Allen & Roger Craig

Terry Allen & Robert Smith

Tery Allen & Stephen Davis

Also, Priest Holmes and Jamal Lewis (I believe).

Some minor ones from recent years:

Wheatley and Barber

Westbrook and Staley

Bettis and Parker

Williams and Brown

These guys all spent little to no time on the field together to the best of my knowledge, with the possible exception of Westbrook/Staley. Bush and Deuce were both on the field together for much of the game.

Why are you giving "minor ones"?The point of the original poster is a fantastic one. Deuce was/is a top 10 RB. Bush may be the best RB in football over the next 10 years. To have both of these guys on the field at the same time, in the same backfield is nearly unprecedented. Certainly in the past 10 years or so, nothing like this has been seen. It could, I say could, revolutionize the thinking of football minds. To have 2 explosive, pass catching, do-it-all backs in the same backfield.I, for one, am very excited to see what can be done with the 2 of them in the backfield together.Actually, I hope Deuce tears his other ACL, as I am a Bush owner.

McAllister has three 1,000 yard seasons and Bush is a highly drafted rookie. Not like we're talking about Barry Sanders and Emmitt Smith in the same backfield.

I see what you're saying, but out of these 4 couple, only Bettis and Parker didn't spend time on the field together. But you're right, I did jump the gun a little. We'll see what happens with it in NO I guess. Played a very weak team today. Fortunately, they are in great shape with Colston being big enough to play TE if they need to sacrifice the TE position to get both RBs on the field.

Yes, and Deuce has played 3 full seasons. Whats your point?Deuce and Bush are the best 2 RB combo in the league right now. And this is after just one game from the rookie.
