The Elias Sports Bureau reviewed film of the Saints-Steelers game and changed the ruling on a 4 yard TD by Deuce McAllister. They changed it from a Rushing TD to an Offensive Fumble Recovery TD. The following stats have changed as a result:

• Deuce McAllister: from 15 rushes for 60 yards and 2 Rushing TDs to 14 rushes for 56 yards and 1 Rushing TD.

• Deuce McAllister: from 1 own fumble recovery for 0 yards and 0 TDs to 1 own fumble recovery for 4 yards and 1 Offensive Fumble Recovery TD of 4 yards.

• Drew Brees: from 3 rushes for 14 yards to 4 rushes for 14 yards.

I had Mcnabb and my opponent had McAllister, today i found out i won by 2 :banned:

I guess I really don't understand.. Why wouldn't Deuce still

get the 6 points for the TD in your league...

Most likely because they don't have rules that allow for TD's on fumble recoveries for offensive players. It's not a rushing or receiving td, so he'd lose out on those 6 points.

What makes it really crazy is the dude lost cause of BOTH changes, and only lost by 2, to me :)

I just send out the good news to the league.....it could get ugly

Here's where it gets interesting.

In my league I lost by 1 to the guy that has Deuce. Of course, Deuce would keep the TD however losing the 4 yds would drop my opponents score by, you guessed it, 1 point ending the game in a tie. Since I'm fighting for a playoff spot, this is huge. Our commish is trying to figure out what to do as Sportsline will not change any stats after Tuesday, although the commish can go in and change the scoring manually.

Huge implications

And that is why all games should be final on Tuesday.
 If a change has been made officially, and fantasy football is a stats-based game, and the next week's game hasn't started yet, why wouldn't you want to get it right? It's better to have game outcomes based on stats that everyone knows aren't valid? If the guy's team earned a tie, the standings should reflect that-- not some alternate universe where Deuce ran in the TD. I understand the need to not go back a month and overturn games. But if the next week hasn't started yet, and a mistake has been officially corrected...correct the mistake.

No change on NFL.com yet ... they changed the McNabb/Buckhalter play earlier today ... but, I still see Deuce with 2 rushing TD's.
