I heard Pete Carroll raving about this kid all summer and the Seattle bloggers talking him up and his first game he gets 3 tackles and a sack. Jene or Tony, do you have any feedback or thoughts on this guy or any Seattle homers care to chime in? Is he a one week wonder or is he the real deal? Do you see this kid getting significant playing time this year or possibly in the near future?

Wow...SEA appears to be loaded at LB. I don't know anything about this Davis guy.

i've seen him listed on depth charts as DE.

regardless, he could have gotten the playing time once that game was well in hand...

He did, I just looked at the play by play and he got the sack on the niners last possession. Carroll seems to really like "his" guys though and this is a guy he brought in and they have been talking him up since mini-camps. He just may be a guy you stash and give him a year and see how things shake out on that defense.

The niners still had their starters playing at that time, including Gore, so I am sure this was against a first team line, but it was in clean-up time.
