Did Devery Henderson play yesterday? (1 Viewer)

The Saints were throwing every down in the second half and this bum did not have a catch? So much for my sleeper.

What happened?

Anyone have any insight into the Saints WR overall? You would think there is potential there, but who?

Yeah he dropped a bomb that was in his hands.

The saints r mising stallworth big time this year.

and brees is killing my fantasy team!!!

Is that a 2 year delay on missing Stallworth? They did ok last year without him. Maybe they really miss Joe Horn.

I had Henderson pegged for a pretty solid year, so he's got me baffled and a bit frustrated, too. But it's only week two ...

he played, but could have sat on the bench and had just as much effect in the game... had a TD hit him in both hands and he couldn't pull it in...

as far as insight on the Saints in general, it looked to me like they were making some poor play calls several times during the day... one that sticks out in my mind is a 2nd and 20-something and they hand it to Reggie for the old "stutter-step fake up the middle, then slide to the outside" and get maybe a half yard.. :pickle:

They were starting to look better towards the end WHEN THEY GOT THE BALL TO COLSTON, ...imagine that. One of their biggest playmakers starts getting the ball, things start happening. But by that time in the game, it was just too late.

They miss Joe. He would have put that offense on his shoulders, if he had to, to get a score. He was a locker room leader. The offense needs someone other than the QB to be "the guy" who challenges them. Deuce, while maybe the classiest guy in the NFL, is not that fella. The youth of the WR corps is hurting because they get down. Personally, I think next week is make or break for the Saints this year. If you can't get amped and motivated playing for your fans for the first time in the season and on MNF then you have no business playing in the NFL.

Teams are taking away the play that carried the Saint's last year: the deep ball.

Everyone was so concerned with Deuce + Bush, that the WRs were running around like it was streetball. See Devery Henderson's ypc last year. Do you really think he is that good? Colston is a big target and he should still be very involved in the offense. But those go routes and double moves down the field are just not working anymore. Eric Johnson was the backup TE, but we see him getting a lot more work than expected simply because that is the only area of the field that is open right now.

New Orleans need to run Duece like he is the featured RB and just split Reggie out wide. This whole 10-15 carries thing for each is just not scaring defenses like it was last year. The are dropping back 2 deep on every play. Meanwhile Bush is dancing like a Ballerina in the backfield and New Orleans is operating out of 2nd and 8 on the majority of their drives.

Henderson was in the game, but he definitely wasn't playing. I am so grateful I could only listen to the game--I think I would have been physically ill if I had actually been watching. We aren't missing Stallworth--we're missing Joe Horn, like others have already suggested. I knew having him move to the Falcons would bite us in the derriere.

Henderson needs to come out until he learns how to catch a ball and the Saints need to see about getting Colston more action. I want to see more out of Deuce and Colston--those are the guys we can count on to make plays...assuming Brees has shown up, anyway. Meachem can stay where he is--he doesn't like catching the ball, either.

Joe Horn was hurt most of last year.
