Did drafting RB-RB kill your chances this year? (1 Viewer)

Picked L.J. at #1 and FWP at #2 and believe it or not I am still alive in the playoff hunt. Remember Waivers are your friend.

I went RB-RB-RB...and what killed my season is not going RB-RB-RB-RB.

At the #7 spot in a 10 team league I went:

Willie Parker

Reggie Bush

Clinton Portis

I wanted to take Adrian Peterson in the 4th, but because I had 3 already I screwed myself.

I should have taken 4 RB's and then traded two of them later on.

Hindsight is always 20/20.

I went RB-RB-RB...
7 of a 12Addai, Bush and MJD in the 3. Got Lendale White later. Really suffered at QB and went in with L. Evans as my #1 WR. Also reached for V. Davis as my #1 TE. What looked poor came around as PPR saved me some, B. Marshall and Cotchery and Chambers were just serviceable and someone came at me with Brees for White. Managed the wildcard and going against the #1 team in this week.

Picked 10th of 12

Manning

Owens

Housh

Portis

L Jordan (carried me until KJ returned)

K Jones

Right strategy...just missed on the QB.

IDK ... i guess my second-guessing is due to the fact that my early RB selections were underperfoming before they went down w/ injuries. Obviously, because of the nature of the RB positon, they take the most pounding and have the higher probability of being injured. So when I commit both early picks to the RB position given the higher probability of injury, I feel that this may be a risky move.

ofcourse, by not committing early picks to RBs ... you end up having THomas Jones and the like of being your "stud RB" ... and that's not a good thing.

I guess my point is that i was shorthanded at the RB position DESPITE using both early picks on RBs and i think that i could've gotten more use out of spending that 2nd pick on Brady or whoever. I will say that the teams that are doing well this season have very strong QB and/or WR positions along w/ decent RB representation.

Funny....Evans turned out to be my #1 WR as well in the 4th.
