Thanks! I like that top photo the best of the two. I feel like that dizzying array of wires belongs in the photo somehow—it provides contrast to the calm stillness of the chair. But I often crop my photos mercilessly. If you don't think they belong, then off with their heads.cactus said:

I was thinking just a weekly "challenge", not necessarily a judged contest. We pick a weekly topic and everything interprets the general idea however they want. Then we post and critique. No winners or losers, just a reason for us all to get creative.Thoughts?

I've just returned from an epic trek on the John Muir Trail - 12 days of walking 150 miles at high elevation. I shot about 1200 photos and some of them really turned out nice.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually shot it level and rotated it in post; I found the composition rather dull with it perfectly level. I'll post the "before" shot for comparison in a bit.

I had the same thought. The angel isn't that prominent, but if the background was a blurred a little more, the shot would go from good to great.Agree.
