DMC Trade Thread (1 Viewer)

Not to hijack the other general DMC thread but this is intended for people to post their trades to help ascertain market value.

McFadden is still in a walking boot as of 2 1/2 weeks after the injury. I would guess a lot of DMC owners are getting real nervous with trade deadlines and FF playoffs right around the corner. Let's debate what he's worth.

Darren McFadden (foot) is still wearing a walking boot and using crutches to get around.

McFadden did not travel to San Diego for Thursday's game against the Chargers and he's no lock to play in Week 11. "That mid-foot sprain is really something," coach Hue Jackson said. "You have to get back to walking first before you can do anything, so my main thing is to get him out of that walking boot first." McFadden originally sustained his injury on Oct. 23 against the Chiefs. Nov. 10 - 8:24 am et

Selling if I need to make a playoff push. Cautious buyer if I'm a lock for playoffs. I will be surprised if he plays week 11. If you can find someone who doesn't care and/or is a lock for the playoffs or a top seed, I think that's your best bet.

I gave up: Mike Tolbert, Felix Jones, Eric Decker

I received: Darren McFadden, AJ Green

The other owner is a game or two off making the playoffs, and needed to win out starting last week to have a good chance. No way that deal goes through if Matthews wasn't out last week.

You robbed that guy blind IMO. Felix is at best headed for a time-share when he returns, and Tolbert is a FA after this year. I like Decker a lot, but not more than AJ Green. Good trade for you though.

Is the news of today that people are referring to just that McFadden is not playing in tonight's game?

I'm offering Phillip Rivers and Dez Bryant for McFadden to a guy that needs help at QB and WR.

Wow, did all you guys forget McFadden's rookie year?

After a foot injury, he missed 3 games, was in & out of a walking boot for several weeks & never got right. After he returned, these were his rushing stat lines: 3 for 13, 10 for 38, 7 for 13, 1 for no yards, 12 for 46, 12 for 46 again.

It seems like 2008 all over again. I think DMC will be out another 2-3 weeks, and will look more like Jackie Battle than the early Season McFadden for the rest of the year.

Unless I could get him in a Green-Ellis & Laurent Robinson type of deal, I wouldn't risk it.

Good luck finding a buyer with the news surrounding DMC.

Take what you can.
What news did I miss? Worse than advertised? I anticipated eventual weeks off given how violently he plays, and picked up MBush for insurance soon's I could in week 4. If he's guaranteed out for 4 weeks I could put him on IR--but if he came back earlier then I wouldn't get either for that duration. Despite the short rosters I pretty well decided it was worth tying up two slots to own the Raiders running game and took that gamble.

I think 'the news' reference is that he is still in a walking boot and on crutches.
OK--gotcha.

Guys been trying to trade me Finley all year as he has Graham too. I might offer dmc for Bradshaw/Finley. Yes broken rb for broken rb

Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell Sell

I got Bush. I may see what the McFadden owner wants for him.
Tried that myself. The guy is 3-6 and needs to win three in a row to make the playoffs. It was a fair offer but he would rather "hope for an upset win this week" and then "expecting DMC back next week" and then "Bush will be worthless."There's still a lot of denial out there. Only time will tell but I think A.Johnson, J.Best, Hillis, Bradshaw, Nicks, etc. are just a few examples of how actual recovery time is much longer than initially quoted.

I sold.

The Bush owner had been trying to get him and has nice depth at RB. Today is deadline day, and with both McFadden and Best killing me I decided it was time to bite the bullet.

After a couple back and forth offers, he came strong...Chris Johnson and Miles Austin FOR Darren McFadden. I accepted, cut Quizz Rodgers, and will hope for the best.

I am considering buying.

I toyed with the notion of offering my VJax for his McFadden. Actually I was trying to make it a 2 for 2 deal, but haven't been able to find a package I like. I start 4 WRs and with Nicks and Andre Johnson hurt I am a bit thin at that position if I move VJax. Still, I figure now is the time to get him and the Raiders running game is only going to get better with a legit passing game. Plus the OL is doing a great job opening holes.

I am still pondering and almost keep talking myself into send the offer.

Got Vick and Shonn Greene for DMC and Matt Ryan...I think DMC has several things working against him right now to get back to his early season production...

Traded Tebow and Decker for Nicks and DMC. I am 8-1 and he was 3-6 and needed to win out. Not the strongest league so most can probably get more for him.

I was offered Aaron Hernandez and Dwill for DMC...pfft, yeah right. and I have both Bush and DMC, don't see any reason to sell if you have both.

If it's redraft there are plenty of reasons to sell.First and foremost, the fact that rumours have been swirling about this being a season ending injury for some weeks now... or at least close to it. Doesn't help that he's still in a boot 3 weeks later.

For me it was just a matter of get value now or be hosed. Unfortunately that term "mid-foot" sprain is far too vague, and frightening to simply plan as though he will be back. Add that to the fact that even now he is in a walking boot and on crutches, and all his coach will say is that he is "closer to returning than not", and this was no-brainer for me.

If I had Bush that would likely change my viewpoint, but I don't, and in the end it was easier to move McFadden to the Bush owner than to try and pay a king's ransom McFadden's handcuff who was drafted far too early anyway.
