DNC Leaks...official thread (1 Viewer)

I'm seeing tweets saying he said he will release leaks once a week for 10 weeks.  So I guess this event was just to announce that... He mentioned the other day on Megan Kelly that they were deciding how to release the information they had. After seeing how the last release was out of the news in a day, he appears to have altered his approach.

The world's waiting for a release but he decides to simply release his plan?  Lame.  He should have divided the material into 11 weeks worth and made the first release today.

I was referring to you being misled/let down. I have no idea what documents you're referencing.

 
This is dumb.  At this point no one cares.  Unless there's proof that she killed someone or committed some type of heinous crime, no one will care.  Drag out threats of bombshells all summer... this dip#### is just trying to string people along.  Many people don't care (obviously) that Trump never paid taxes and many people don't care that HRC abused her position for financial gain.  

 
I'm not a huge fan of Assange.  I don't think he is a rapist, or anything bad, just an attentionwhore.  Assange isn't wikileaks.  Manning could just have easily posted all those leaked cables on Reddit if be wanted.  Assange should really be releasing info as be gets it.  This political curation is bs.

If he was the face of Russian intelligence then wouldn't he be holed up in their embassy?  Also, you had mentioned earlier he was a rapist.  Is there any definitive proof on this?  IIRC, you were one of the posters that was pretty obsessed with the Jameis case.  I'm starting to see a pattern here of labeling people rapist before it has been proven.

To be fair, Assange should go back to Sweden to face his accusers and prove his innocence then. Him avoiding is not helping his credibility.

I think the issue is that he doesn't want to be extradited to U.S.  Whether you like him or not, it's not a stretch to assume some governments really want him to go away.  Hence the hiding in the embassy.

The alleged hack has a ton of data - 1.1 GB, couple thousand files, 200+ folders. But information is starting to come in.

Again note it is very possible this is disinformation, it may not be genuine.

Ok... so about that "Pay To Play" folder:

The name sounded too obvious (like "Murder for Hire" or something...) but actually it appears to be oppo research on both Republicans and Democrats.

Clinton Foundation refutes new claim that hacker stole files

According to screenshots, the files include spreadsheets tracking Foundation donors and financial institutions that have donated to lawmakers.

One person familiar with the documents said the files appeared to be from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, which was hacked earlier this summer.

One spreadsheet appears to detail how much banks have given to lawmakers on the House Financial Services Committee. Another document shows how much banks gave to Democratic lawmakers and how much those banks received from the 2008 bailout bill to stabilize the financial sector, known as the Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP.

It's amazing the lack of coverage NBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN give to this.  I just google news searched "wikileaks" and went back 7 pages.  Not a single link to any of the major US news organizations besides Fox.  Hell, even the Jerusalem news is talking about it, but i guess it's not important enough for the US news. Lmao

 
I've posted a few in the Hillary thread.

Honestly given that it appears they got into Podesta's emails I'm surprised there isn't more substantive yet.

The two I have found which I consider interesting:

- Cheryl Mills doing work for Teneo while still chief of staff for the SOS.

- The conflict between Chelsea Clinton, Doug Band and Podesta about Bill's work for Teneo clients.

Really these should be bigger stories but the journalists seem to have little understanding of what Teneo is or desire to explore it.

Also the fact that Trump is running makes everyone reluctant to give him a bump, and that's just the fact of it. I think in a normal election against a decent opponent this would be much bigger.

 
This is an example of 'pfft'. Trump just tweeted it: This is Fallon emailing the Hillary campaign hierarchy that he in touch with the DOJ about a forthcoming hearing on the Hillary emails in early/mid 2015. Now Fallon was working for the DOJ when Hillary hired him. I don't think this is surprising at all, I'd say his contacts there were one of the reasons he was brought on in the first place.

A couple reasons:

1.  At this point the legitimacy of the releases clearly can't be trusted, we're seeing that now with some of the obviously fake stuff from the hackers coming out.

2. What is clear is that Wikileaks is a pretty despicable organization, doing things like laundering intelligence to provide cover for Russia and outing homosexuals in Saudi Arabia and thus putting their lives at risk to no particular end. So giving them a megaphone  without fully vetting and confirming what they pass along is irresponsible, especially if it's not that newsworthy.

3. There's nothing all that newsworthy in the recent releases anyway, in fact it's kind of surprisingly harmless.

Also, I've never heard of the Jerusalem News.  Are you talking about the Jerusalem Post?  There's nothing on the front page of their site about wikileaks.

Man, it's hard to believe that the American public isn't more interested in this story.  It's so exciting, and full of juicy storylines that the grab attention.

This link mentions that the FBI is looking into the hacking of his gmail as well.  If they also got into Gmail accounts, then this might be some of the "embarrassing" stuff Assange was referring to.

Podesta would be ripe for whatever people think might exist. Hes an idiot for having information that sensitive in Gmail by the way.
