I think you just saved yourself $150. Tell the lawnmower place that due to their illegal actions, you don't plan on paying anything else. If they want the other $150, just simply remind them that you'll point out their forgery to the proper authorities.

Well done :lmao:
People like you are destroying America.
Yes, we are. It's the Don of a new age.

Lol, are you posting that in here as if my line was unintentional?ETA--Heh, seeing as you added it to your sig, I'll assume you think I had no idea I didn't type in dawn. Just to make it easy for you, I had already responded to this thread more than once and was fully aware of it. Not only would I never really use that phrase otherwise, but I even capitalized Don for good measure. Sorry to burst your bubble, dawctor.

Many of you in this thread (those who like to pretend the 23rd letter of the alphabet doesn't exist) should just defer to the "Amber Lamps" guy. He clearly has a better grasp on phonetics.

Thanks for clarifying dummy.

If you mean in poetry artists are given license to use other 'non rhyming' words to rhyme.

Technically though no they don't.

Finally got around to watching the youtube videos posted way earlier ( :wall: ).

Still with bostonfred on this one. I've never heard "don" pronounced the way ARude pronounced it in his video. And my dad's name is "Don". And I even played on an U13 soccer team called "The Dons", so I am sort of an expert on this.

Rude has an amalgam of two of the worst accents known to man, New York and Chick-cag-o. That renders all of his opinions suspect.

How many of you guys who don't understand the difference between these words still live in your parents' basements?

I've lived in Western NY, Northern California, the Pacific NW, New England, and Chicago. My accent sounds nothing like people from NYC or even Chicago really since I didn't move here until I was 25.

I don't doubt that that's how you hear it.

:lmao: I think I have a pretty clear Buffalo accent. Chicago is similar but different. NYC is nothing like it. Buffalo is closer to Toronto, Detroit, Pittsburgh, and Cleveland than it is to NYC. Why would we talk like them? Those freaks say soda. I'd rather go mute than speak that way.

Really not helping your cause here. You really say pop instead of soda?

Why are you linking to a site that shows that more people say soda than pop?
pretty sure this is not a statistically significant difference.# of replies

Pop: 124,952

Soda: 125,862
People who say "pop" are 100x more likely to forward emails containing this poll than people who don't. Congratulations, Aunt Karen.

So the is rhyme camp do you also believecan't rhymes with bunt?
Don't be ridiculous. This is worse than the failed abbot and Costello 'joke' and the venn diagram put together.
:lmao: I thought of this thread this morning listening to O&A. Some old lady from Boston was complaining about a tree getting cut down and instead of saying the word "can't" she said it "the other way" during a news interview.

Oof.That is definitely NOT a Boston accent.

Harry doesn't actually rhyme with hairy.
We'll come back to this one in a bit. For now, let's go back to the soda vs. pop thing, where after 100 votes in my poll, we've seen that soda is the word most people use, and that the majority of people who say pop or coke acknowledge that the proper English word is soda. Please consider Rudnicki served.

Why does the majority rule in that poll but not this one?

Please YouTube yourself saying hairy and Harry. I've been muttering these words to myself at my desk to try and make it sound different and all I've accomplished is some very strange/frightened looks from my coworkers.
