Do I need to upgrade at DL or LB? (1 Viewer)

12 team league- we start(for defense) 2DL, 2LB, 2CB, 2S- scoring is 1pt/tackle and assist, 5pts/sack, 6pts/INT, 5pts/fum rec, 6pts/TD. I am pretty happy with my CB and S spots (although I will list them), but I waited a bit to take DL and LB and want to know if I am still OK or if I should try to upgrade. Here is my defensive roster-

DL- Erasmus James, James Hall, Jared Allen

LB- Kirk Morrison, EJ Henderson, DeMeco Ryans

CB- Charles Tillman, Ike Taylor, Anthony Henry

S- Troy Polamalu, Michael Boulware, Nick Collins

John Henderson is available as a free agent.....is he a better bet than one of my current DLs? I was thinking of dropping Allen for him. Anyone else I should look for on the FA list that may be better than who I have or is there a spot I should really look to upgrade in a trade? Thanks for your input!

Pretty solid. Especially if James has a break out year. If you waited, as you stated, and built up your offense and it is really solid you should be in good shape.

Nope. John Henderson isn't nearly as valuable in this setup since he's not really a threat to put up double digit sacks. And I'd have James on the early chopping block before the other two unless he gets off to a quick start. You might keep an eye on your three linebackers. Your scoring system is skewed toward big plays and those three haven't been big play guys (sacks, picks, etc) in the past.

Allen, Hall and James are in the same tier. Henderson is a drop off, especially with the weighted sacks in your scoring. I like Allen a little more than the other two, and I think James or Udeze is going to find himself being pulled on 3rd downs before long. I believe Ray Edwards is going to be a pass rush specialist very soon.
