It depends on the stat keeper. Some will credit a tackle while others won't.
It is just like when a player pushes a player out of bounds. Some will credit a solo tackle, while others (like Philly's stat keeper) doesn't credit anyone.

When a QB slides it is a dead ball, so I thought the answer was no.

yeah, but a Defender is causing a QB to slide or else he would just keep running

Tackles are not an official stat so there is no official way of giving tackles. It is determined by the scorekeeper.

This.....It is frustrating when the guy you are playing has his players getting credited with qb slides or pushes out of bounds while your guys are not. Or when the stat keeper in Seattle is giving the Cowboys defenders 50 total assists while your guys get 3-4 the entire game.
