Do the Packers have a realistic shot at going undefeated? (1 Viewer)

Four down, twelve to go. I see only three potential difficult games, which are in bold for your viewing pleasure.

==========================

9/8 vs. New Orleans Saints - WON 42-34

9/18 @ Carolina Panthers - WON 30-23

9/25 @ Chicago Bears - WON 27-17

10/2 vs. Denver Broncos - WON 49-23

10/9 @ Atlanta Falcons

10/16 vs. St. Louis Rams

10/23 @ Minnesota Vikings

-BYE-

11/6 @ San Diego Chargers

11/14 vs. Minnesota Vikings

11/20 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

11/24 @ Detroit Lions

12/4 @ New York Giants

12/11 vs. Oakland Raiders

12/18 @ Kansas City Chiefs

12/25 vs. Chicago Bears

1/1 vs. Detroit Lions
I think its very obvious that no one in the league can come close to beating them this year and probably next year. The real question is can they go undefeated for 3 years running and knock off 4 Superbowls in a row!! :boxing:

This year James Jones is catching about 75% of passes(72.5 going into this week and caught 3 out of 4) on the season.

How many playmakers does this team have now. Jennings/Finley/Nelson/Jones/Driver/Cobb plus the RB's and backup TE's?

Plus Rookie TE DJ Williams is another playmaker.

Who on your teams covers the #5 or 6 option?

They have a really good shot (obviously) at this point, but next week is the game to watch. The Giants are the undefeated season killers; they did it to both the Broncos in '98 and the Patriots in '07. The fact that GB crushed them last year doesn't automatically mean that they'll crush them again like some have implied here lately.

Now that the 49ers lost I'd say it's almost a lock they rest guys against Chicago and possibly KC. I'm just not sure that would correlate to a loss. Flynn and some of the guys buried on the roster are unreal talented for backups.

I'm looking forward to seeing what some of these guys can do and stash them in my dynasty league.

True, but I would be more surprised if they lose this than I would have been with a loss @DET (who also had the historical stat of ruining the 1962 undefeated season). Giants are on a short week (MNF) and ravaged by injuries while GB has an extra 3 days rest and is... uh, slightly less ravaged at least. Bradshaw and some defenders coming back would make a big difference for NYG. Should be a good one.

12/4 @ New York Giants 65% chance to win

12/11 vs. Oakland Raiders 70% chance to win

12/18 @ Kansas City Chiefs 80% chance to win (would be 90 if it weren't for arrowhead advantage)

12/25 vs. Chicago Bears 80% chance to win (at home and no cutler)

1/1 vs. Detroit Lions 50% chance to win (assume nothing to play for at this point while this may be a game that gets det in the playoffs. maybe GB plays hard just to keep det out of . it?)

.65*.7*.8*.8*.5=

15% chance GB finishes undefeated or about 13:2 odds

I don't give a crap if the Packers go undefeated... just please don't go to the Super Bowl and lose again.

Keeping the Lombardi trophy home > going undefeated.

I am conflicted. I really don't want the Packers to win another SB, but it would be nice to shut up the '72 Dolphins.

The Pack toyed with the Giants for awhile but got it done.

... four to go with a slam-dunk coming up at Lambeau next week. :bag:

Hard to believe the OP doesn't include the Giants at home as 'possible' loss.
I addressed this earlier.
Really? This is "addressing this?" While it technically is addressing it this is about second grade level work.
You're a weird dude.
Whilst this is true, it doesn't make the argument any stronger.
There is no "argument"... you think the Giants have a shot to beat the Packers. I respectfully disagree. Can we move on?
I'd say an 3 pt win as time expires qualifies as deserving of some crow. Clearly had a shot to win. too bad Coughlin is worse at end game clock management than your average 10 year old who plays madden,

They needed a late TD, 2-point conversion, and they STILL let the Pack go right down the field with the game on the line.No crow will be served.

Pack played very poorly. Yet still won.

I think they officially have a shot at going undefeated

Down a handful of starters, receivers dropping balls all night, Rodgers taking a ton of hits, defense handing out big plays left and right . . . hard to imagine them being more beatable than they were today, and they still came up with the W.

As a Miami Dolphins fan I have absolutely no problem if Green Bay goes 19-0. They will have done it in a different era mostly predicated on a sick offense, seriously good luck the rest of the way to them and their fans. Miami was the 1st to do it and will always be mentioned.

:bs: you dismissed it as a no possibility even worthy of discussion. Game was tied with under a minute. Hope you like yours rare.Whilst this is true, it doesn't make the argument any stronger.

As someone who thinks the 'smug tradition' of toasting/boasting when the last team loses a game is shameless and makes me wanna smack Griese and Co I actually wouldn't mind seeing anyone slap that taste out their mouth even if it had to be the packers.

KC a trap game? Any chance The Pack looks past them to the Bears/Lions?

There's another thread with a poll where I chose K.C.

We'll see if someone can run the same "game plan" in Lambeau in January

Terrible defense exposed. Expect an early playoff exit.
:goodposting:

When it's Romeo Crennel coming up with the blueprint that beats them, every coach in the league will be able to follow it in January.
Wait...I thought it was about disrespecting them...and announcing things...and so on?Thanks for admitting you were doing little more than trolling as I stated...and for proving me right about you acting like a child.

You follow me from thread to thread, picking arguments without actually reading anything I've posted. You continue to consistently either completely miss or outright ignore the point being made just to make personal attacks against me.

How you, time after time, fail to understand my point is beyond me. Unless, of course, you're just purposely fishing.

Now you've been exposed, and it's time to move on, kiddo.

Follow you?Its a Packer thread...Im a Packer fan.

You are not consistent is your problem.

Ive read what you have posted...most of it is nonsense and has been pointed out as such.

Nobody is missing...Ive nailed it quite well in watching your inability to have a consistent message.

I made one "supposed" personal attack.

Exposed as what? Pointing out that you can't be consistent in your attempts to bash the Packers?

Its not my fault you are all over the place in your claims over the last week or so.
