Do we have enough data points yet? (1 Viewer)

The Texans are highly rated (4th) against the pass and yet so far they've faced the Dolphins (25th), Jaguars (31st) and Broncos (14th).

The Bucs are highly rated against the run (1st) and yet so far they've faced the Panthers (19th), Giants (16th) and Cowboys (29th).

(All stats from NFL.com)

I realize that part of their opponents' rankings are wrapped up in the fact they they've played the Texans and the Bucs, but still . . . do we have enough data points to start seeing meaningful patterns in the numbers?

I think there are trends to see as long as you pay attention to more than overall ranking. For example, the Bucs Panthers game saw I think about 7-8 rushing attempts? Also the Giants are "16th" in rushing but at the same time did nothing on the ground for 1.5 games until Andre Brown came in for Bradshaw. Since then he's been running like a man possesed. I personally don't think the Bucs are as tough of matchup as the numbers imply.

Houston I think is legit because we saw that good D last year. Granted their matchups have been favorable so far this season.

A good test would be to see if a team, say the Bucs, gave up 150 yards rushing this week, how much would their ranking change? What about 200 yards? If it changes a lot, then there probably aren't enough data point yet.
