I agree about no expansion..too many crappy teams right now.BusterTBronco said:I voted no. I am opposed to expansion of the game (both in # of teams and length of season)These seem to be high priorities on his agenda. The NFL is PERFECT the way it is with 32 teams and a 16 game season. I wish they would leave it alone.
The push to globalize the game comes from the Owners, the approach to a new CBA comes from the Owners, Goddall is doing what the Owners are telling him to do in these areas. The reason is simple the Owners want more money. How do they get it - more teams and give less money to the players in a new CBA.Overall I am not a big fan of the Goodell era. I think he has really tried to clean up the game of bad guys which is a good thing. I hate his push to globalize the game. We do not need games in London never mind a team located there. I also think he has done a horrible job addressing the collective bargaining agreement. This is a huge mess looming on the horizon and nothing is being done about it.

I guess it does not matter who the commissioner is then.Overall I am not a big fan of the Goodell era. I think he has really tried to clean up the game of bad guys which is a good thing. Oh, I see. You think that was Goodell's rule, and that the three other QB's lost the three years prior to the same hit didn't factor in to the decision.Sissification of the game. i.e. Brady Rules![]()
So basically you can't evaluate his job because he is only doing what the owners tell him to do? I guess it does not matter who the commissioner is then. You can evaluate him on the decisions within his control but basing an evaluation on Goodell on factors outside of his control is worthless. I personally think his job performance is marked improvement to the former commissioner. The push to globalize the game comes from the Owners, the approach to a new CBA comes from the Owners, Goddall is doing what the Owners are telling him to do in these areas. Can anyone detail why this is a bad thing? I heard them mention this morning that they sold 80K tickets in 6 minutes for this game. If we're rating Goodell's job performance this sounds decidedly like a positive, not a negative.Overseas games.![]()
Makes people feel good? This is an entertainment industry, is it not?fatness said:Even though his very public crackdown on what he sees as bad behavior by players hasn't done anything to cut down on bad behavior by players, it makes people feel good. So I'd expect he'll come out on top in this poll.

I guess it does not matter who the commissioner is then.In a way yes but he has to be able to preform what they tell him and I think he has done a better then average job in those areas. Like most fans I hate the London games and I hate Monday and Thursday night. He is pretty much forced to change the rules with what we know about concussion and the law suits that are going to continue to come. The one thing I'm really down on the NFL about is that they weren't the first to use blood testing because that is the way you help concussions the most. I would bet if they did that you would a huge reduction in speed and strength across the NFL.The push to globalize the game comes from the Owners, the approach to a new CBA comes from the Owners, Goddall is doing what the Owners are telling him to do in these areas. If you test for blood which is the only way to detect HGH it will lead to suspension as well as players stopping. If players arent doping they aren't as big, fast or strong which cause a majority of concusions. If Baseball which has a much stronger players union can check for HGH the NFL should also.So basically you can't evaluate his job because he is only doing what the owners tell him to do?
