Do you believe in Ghosts? Have you seen a ghost? Do tell if you have stories.
Me personally, no, I do not believe in ghosts. If I happen to see one, I still won't believe in ghosts. I will simply think I had a hallucination.
OK, I must admit that I have not read this thread fully, so I may be repeating something already covered, but its Friday night; I have had some beer...some bourbon...I'm lazy and complacent.
Last week, a co-worker of mine asked if I believed in ghosts, demons, angels, aliens, etc.; my reply was, "Yes and no." He did not like it. I understand why.
In my life, I have had some
odd experiences, plus, I have had a small amount of education in mindy-kind-of-things. So, here it goes:
I DO believe in the
human experience of these sorts of things. I believe the
experience is real, and has been documented through out history in most all cultures. However, I do not believe that the common labels and explanations that we (as humans) assign to these experiences are necessarily accurate.
Thus, I will go so far as to say that
something exists that triggers these experiences (e.g. extra/ultra dimensional entities, neurotransmitters, etc.). Whether this "something" is internal or external to the human mind is debatable, but the experience itself is undeniable imo.
Madness...perceptiveness...it does not matter; what matters is how it affects you and how you respond. Real? Who cares? How does it/has it influence(d) humanity? Practical.
It
has/will influence(d) humanity in our history, present & future...in many ways, thus, it is real enough for me to consider worthy of contemplation.
