Do you ever bench a receiver coming off 3 straight games of 100+ yards? (1 Viewer)

To be specific - would you bench Higbee? Been on fire. But facing Niners. Or at least half the Niners. #2 against TE. But not sure if those who were rough on TE’a are in the lineup.

Option for me is to sit a hot Higbee and out in a hot/cold guy like Gallup against a terrible Eagle secondary. Someone is going off. But it could be Cooper, Gallup, Cobb, Austin And even Witten. Gallup hardly in the game plan last week

Hot hand or matchup?

In the rare case where the player might not get half the snaps, I'd bench him.

There's a fair chance Everett plays this week. If he does it seems your choice is easier.

Does Everett matter? Its not like he was doing much before he got hurt, Its like Higbee and Goff clicked all of a sudden.

I think he matters enough to knock Higbee down a peg or 3. Everett was looking pretty strong there for stretches this season too.

If you didn't have good options I'd start Higbee still, but I'd probably go with Gallup.

Fwiw, I have Everett in two games this week. Won't play him in either. (Ertz / C Davis in one, Jonnu or witten in the other)

Everett fully practiced today. Just in time to mess things up for week 16. Higbee is a better blocker and seems to be a better fit for the current offensive style. Still, Everett will play a bit and steal a couple of targets.

I am not sure how much Everett will eat into his looks/targets, but I think the whole LAR offense will be stiffled somewhat.

I am starting Waller & Cook over Higbee or Olsen.

Yeah, I'm hosed this weekend.

I have Goff and Dak in both leagues I'm still alive, neither looks like a good option. So then in one, brissett, in the other my 3rd option is Hodges 🥺

How many receivers actually have 4 straight 100 yard games?
This reminds me of a time when I thought Michael Irvin was a lock for 100 yards and a TD each week.  Maybe my memory has faltered through the years?  I went back to look at 1995, our inaugural season, and Irvin's stats were amazingly consistent.

First 13 games

7-109-1
6-94-0
8-107-1
5-105-0
7-105-1
8-150-1
7-103-0
10-135-1
8-115-1
4-37-1
7-109-1
11-121-1
10-101-1
