Do you ever hedge players in different leagues? (1 Viewer)

This is not a wdis or look at my team.

McFadden is going against me in my money league and I have him in my dynasty league, which are the two main ones I care about.

I'm thinking about playing him in my dynasty league so that if he goes off I at least get to feel good about starting him there while getting pulverized in my money league. On the other hand, if he stinks it up, I'm doing better in my money league.

OTOH if I don't I'm looking at a double whammy if he goes off, and a double-win if he sucks.

Just wondering if anyone ever does this or has had this thought.

PSA: I am not asking if McFadden will do well or if I should start him. Just asking if this is something other people think about/do and was using a specific example.

i think about hedging but rarely do it on weekly matchups with studs or near studs. just start the best players.

but when drafting lots of money league teams, i hedge and try to stick to a general draft plan based on tiers.

I dont hedge but if I have Brees on one team, and am facing Brees in another, I feel like I have a good shot to win at least one game.

I wasnt a big Matt Ryan fan this offseason but was intrigued enough to pick him in one league. I promptly traded for him in another. Smooth sailing ever since.
