Meh. I mean I will see it but my expectations are low.

For what it's worth, it's getting decent to good reviews. The book appears to have been well received too. I'm optimistic. I think I'll see it. I like that it is focused on just a short period of time and one album. Although maybe casual fans won't like that. I listened to Nebraska yesterday for the first time in many years. Although I always liked it, it seemed better than I remember.

That is good. I think White is a great choice for the past. I also love Nebraska. It's just more of a general burnout on these kind of movies. The Dylan movie was really well made and performed. It looked and sounded incredible but it was just ok for me because it felt like a story I already knew and it never provided any real insight. So that is probably impacting my expectations and excitement for the Springsteen movie.

If you’re a Bruce fan the book is really really great insight into his process and the issues he had getting that album made. Really interesting stuff that revolved around the tape he recorded it on and issues they had translating it to modern (then) equipment. And his label was hoping for a way different album.

I’ve never really liked their music but not to the level of hatred. And I must say that in the past ten years or so, I’ve enjoyed getting to know Bruce Springsteen the man a little bit. He’s grown into himself nicely. I’ll definitely catch that movie.
