The guy was all NFL 5 times and voted into 6 pro-bowls. The Browns never had a losing season in his 15 years with the club. HOFer Sam Huff says he was the greatest lineman he ever played against. He blocked for Jim Brown, Bobby Mitchell, and Leroy Kelly. He was the first prototype of a pulling guard. He was a freight train coming around the edge. Above all he was and still is a man above men, and despite that fact that he has been waiting for 38 years after he became ineligible, he has never once uttered a single sentence of self promotion. Despite the efforts of both Brown and Kelly trying to get his bust on the wall, he still refuses to plug himself. I'm not really asking if he belongs in the HOF, but I'm really wondering why he's not there yet.
