I think he will be traded and I think he will be a good pick up for whoever trades for him in the NFL because they probably don't have to give a ton for him right now....and he is still young and has proven he can produce....he could step in very easily to many RB situations out there and put up good numbers
I think you might be right. He might get traded, and he might not.
Now that the Bills drafted Spiller, I think Lynch's trade value took even more of a hit.Given his trangressions and being one strike away from a lengthy suspension, I would guess the Bills won't like what they are getting offered. At this point, I don't see Buffalo getting much more than a 3rd day (that sounds weird) pick for him (4th round or later).
So much for SD with Matthews going there now. Maybe Seattle?he is goneSD would be a good place

i hope as a lynchSo much for SD with Matthews going there now. Maybe Seattle?he is goneSD would be a good place
As of now I would say Seattle makes the most sense. Power RB to match up with his best friend Forsett. So its settled I say he has the best chance of going to HOU, SEA, CLE, or DET at this point. Anyone agree or disagree? Or what team do you think he is likely to go to. ??
I totally agree. I'm going to be a bit bummed to see him go, and given the possible teams, nothing seems too appealing. I would have liked to see him in the SD offense.BILLIEVE said:I love Lynch. He doesn't get much love for most people here and I don't see why. I've watched every game and he fought hard for his yards, rarely went down on the first hit. Once and a while you'd see him emerge from a pile and come away with a big gain. Last year he just didn't seem to get it going. With the suspension, not playing early on, Jackson having a bigger role, it didn't seem like he could get back on track. I think he has the ability to be a very good RB, depending where he ends up. It all depends on the situation and the talent surrounding him. But if he goes to a friendly place, Lynch is worth it IMO.
A change of scenery didn't exactly hurt Cedric Benson.think he is only 24 right now....just a couple years older then Spiller...?...and a couple productive years already....if he bounces out of Buf he could be a great pick up for somebody
Lynch is the latest in a long line of Buffalo players who look pretty good in their first year or two, but who seem to drop off after that. Last year, Lynch spent way too much time dancing around in the backfield instead of hitting a hole. Obviously I don't know this, but would it really surprise anybody if it all came down to poor coaching? I wouldn't be surprised at all if he benefited from a change in scenery. I wouldn't expect the Bills to get much in return for him, but whoever gets him is getting a lot of upside for a 4th round pick, or whatever he fetches.BILLIEVE said:I love Lynch. I saw a link to that on twitter someplace. Seattle surely isn't going to give it's 2nd rounder for Lynch. Presumably this would have to be Lynch + a later pick for #60 or something like that.Edit: Here.I have a friend who is a scout for the Bills. Texted me this morning saying that Carrol has called the Bills this morning inquiring about Lynch and Seattle's 60th pick is in play.
FWIW
Bills #41 and Lynch to Seattle for #60I saw a link to that on twitter someplace. Seattle surely isn't going to give it's 2nd rounder for Lynch. They trade Lynch to move down in the draft? How does this make any sense?I think they'll package Lynch, #41 and possibly other picks to move up in the 2nd rd.ceo3west said:Bills #41 and Lynch to Seattle for #60IvanKaramazov said:I saw a link to that on twitter someplace. Interesting tactic by the Bills - you're offering us too much please allow us to take less.Last text from my friend who is a scout with the Bills."They want a 5th, we offered a 7th."
i think the idea is #60 for lynch and a pick -- seattle wants lynch and a 5th round pick, buffalo only wants to give a 7thInteresting tactic by the Bills - you're offering us too much please allow us to take less.Last text from my friend who is a scout with the Bills."They want a 5th, we offered a 7th."
If that's where negotiations currently are, then this should get done easily. If I was Buffalo, I'd do Lynch + 5th for #60 all day long.i think the idea is #60 for lynch and a pick -- seattle wants lynch and a 5th round pick, buffalo only wants to give a 7thInteresting tactic by the Bills - you're offering us too much please allow us to take less.Last text from my friend who is a scout with the Bills."They want a 5th, we offered a 7th."

well, buffalo's 3rd rounder is #72 overall. i don't think buffalo is going to give up lynch in order to jump from #72 to #60.If that's where negotiations currently are, then this should get done easily. Sounds like a good trade. The Bears traded Thomas Jones to move up 20 (or so) spots in the second round a few years back. As has been mentioned before, RBs just don't command much in trades.well, buffalo's 3rd rounder is #72 overall. i don't think buffalo is going to give up lynch in order to jump from #72 to #60.
mortreport:On Marshawn Lynch, my understanding is Bills have no plans to trade him now. #NFLDraft mortreport: I wouldn''t be surprised if McCoy went ahead of Clausen tonight; SF @49 & Seattle @ 60 both do like Clausen, though #NFLDraft
Jones was 29 at the time though.Sounds like a good trade. The Bears traded Thomas Jones to move up 20 (or so) spots in the second round a few years back.
