Does Sportsline have blind bid capabilities (1 Viewer)

and how would you suggest setting it up.

what kind of starting $ amount would you suggest.

i know it doesn't really matter what you start with but what is standard

Yes, we used it last year. Worked well. We switched to MFL this year though

We used $100 as a starting point

We use 1000 just to give a little more wiggle room over the standard 100 (e.g., 54 rather than 5).

And, yes, it's there on CBS and a pretty good system. Can be set up to be pretty flexible in terms of which deadlines you want to create, if you want the commish to process the bids or CBS to process them.

Yes, they have it. We use $100. The commish can go to League Rules, Transactions, and then change the Add/Drop policy to Automated auction process to do Add/Drops. There's a starting budget field below it.

In my league we assign values to each player according to his drafting position. It's interesting, because if you want a popular free agent (like Derrick Ward after week 1) you have to drop one of your mid rounders to bid enough and get him.

how does it work for add/drops after the weekly blind bid weekly waiver wire.

for example, if you want to pick up a kicker on Sunday morning because your kicker has a pulled nut or something?

do you still bid on that guy or after the waiver process all players are up for grabs?

We use it the way you want Righetti. Your commish will have to go into the Rules, Transactions and switch it from the FAAB option to "allow users to do add/drops". We run our auction bids on Wed, then there's a set time laid down by the commish on Thursday that free agents become open, first come, first served. Then after the games start. the commish has to turn it back to the FAAB option. The good thing is that sportsline doesn't forget everyone's bid balance, even if you changed it from FAAB to add/drops. The crappy thing is that it depends on a manual switch by the commish. Also, if the commish is away from the PC at the time the switch is supposed to be made, we are allowed to post our bids on the message board since it's time stamped.

Quick question for you guys who use the FAAB system. Do you guys have it on automatically submitted by sportsline or manually done by commish? I wanted to do it automatically, but sportsline couldn't tell me when the bids would be processed. They said it was at some time between X and X. So what time does it usually process teh bids?
