So the craziness in Georgia was surprising to me, and i started to look more into voter suppression, etc. I thought it was totally something that existed back in the early 1900's but that it really didn't have as much of a place today. Well, i was naive. There are a bunch of documentaries out there now, but watching some about what has happened over the past 10 years really screams how broken of a system and country we have. Really is just a game the top 1-2% play and we just sit around and watch and yell at each other. 

there are a few, but Rigged: The Voter Suppresson Playbook seems like a good start. does a good job of getting all involved to interview on the camera and speak how easy and effective it can be when the top 1% throw their money into the game

At the end of 2016 The Economist moved the US out of the top 20 of its democracy rankings, into a secondary category called "flawed democracies." The criticisms mostly center around our unrepresentative political structures and the lack of consistent and homogenous election procedures.

These are all correctable problems. But there is little political will from the nation's leadership to fix them.
