He was almost gone two weeks ago. The Vikings couldn't beat a so-so Bears team in a must-have game. I think Chilly is done and they get a chance to evaluate Frazier on an interim basis.

Got to put a lot of weight on Favre, his turnovers helped the losing cause.
The fumble was all on Favre. However, that second INT that Briggs got was just bad luck (ADP slipping on the turf). Although I can't resist mentioning how Shiancoe's reversed TD against the Packers wasn't *any* different than them calling Briggs' INT a catch. What beat the Vikings today was special teams. Bears started something like 5 of 6 consecutive possessions in Vikings territory, and then were in Vikings territory on that 7th possession after one Forte run. Pretty hard to win when most of the game is happening on your end of the field. Favre didn't help (I actually flipped over to CBS and didn't see the 3rd INT, so I don't know if that was on him or not), but it was special teams and another week of an uninspired pass rush that did them in.All that said, I'm not sure if I'm Wilf that I want to waste seven more games to start to see who I still want under contract in 2011. Let Frazier see if he's HC material. Give TJax some starts to see if they want to offer him a contract in the off-season. Get those young DTs on the field more to see if any of them are going to be able to replace Pat Williams effectively. Etc. Seven weeks to see what they might want the team and coaching staff to look like heading into next year.

Pretty pathetic performance again today for the Vikes. They may have been better off when Mike Tice was coaching. I don't see any reason to keep Chilly around.

He should .. Short of the Money owed to him there is no reason not to. But he probably won't

3-6, not going any where this year. I had :homer: hope until this game, but they were lifeless out there in all 3 phases.

Might as well find out if Frazier is the future Head coach or not.

 People LOVE to rip on Tice and yes he was a meat-head. But when you look at the cheapskate that owned this team at the time he was trying to coach it he did a heck of a job with the little he had.

Childress has wasted some of the most explosive weapons in the NFL today. I'm done with him. I don't see any reason for him to finish the season.

Again, 17 carries for Peterson. Just stop it.

At this point, why throw good money after bad? Wilf has already spent millions to get Favre and (briefly) Randy Moss for a big playoff push. Now with the season lost, should he throw more money at a new head coach? At this point, just ride it out with Chilly, get yourself a nice high draft pick, do a thorough search for a new head coach in the offseason and begin the rebuilding process.

Keeping Chilly would be good strategy to get a better draft pick.

This works for every team except the Vikings. Because they are too inept to get their picks to the podium in a timely manner.

Well...then the refs got it right today on the INT. If it was the same as the Shiancoe TD, the NFL said they got that wrong. So now, you all want them to get it wrong again after crying about that TD for a week after that game.

Wilf has no nuts....seriously...he is a eunuch. It is impossible for his to have the balls to fire that sad excuse of a coach.

Wilf bought Richardson #1 best seller, 'The NFL owners guide to conserving $ and stealing it from season ticket holders'.

Michael Irvin says it is all on Farve..and I agree. Is it Chillys fault Farves leads the NFL in turnovers?? Farve has caused half the drama on the Vikings.

Chilly was building the Vikings the correct way, the he went for the quick fix in Farve..that has backfired. T-Jax may have inproved and grown with the team woth out the drama.

Any way Chilly will get paid for three more years for doing nothing, and Farves three million raise will go to Stenger, and might cost him his marriage.

Childress has enabled Favre every step of the way. Therefore, he is the most to blame.Michael Irvin is an idiot.

Agreed..as are Farve and Chilly. You get what you deserve in this league.
Well...Favre earned Chilly a boatload of money last year with a contract extension. Chilly is the one that lost control of the team...not Favre.

First....it is Favre not Farve. How long have you had to learn how to spell that?Second, Favre isn't going to pay off Stenger and it won't cost him his marriage. Finally, If you really think Chilly was building the Vikings the right way then you don't have any clue about football. The Vikings almost made the Super Bowl last year and adding Favre to the team allowed Chilly to get a contract extension. Chilly lost control of the team....not Brett Favre.

I thought it was Farvruh.

 Farves wife may think different.

So it is Favre's fault that most of the players on the Vikings don't respect Chilly?
Who cares if they respect Chilly?? Half the players do not respect each other.M Faulk said "Do your job as a pro player" That is the key.
The key is the players realize they are playing for a tool. I suggest you see how Dallas did today when they were not playing for a tool.

Why can't you spell his name right? Favre's wife has seen a lot worse from him from his days in the mid 90s when he was running with Mark Chmura. This is nothing for her compared to that. You can laugh all you want but have been wrong with every post you make in this thread.

Kitna 0- turnovers. Favre - 4 turnovers. Tool or no tool you rarely win in the NFL when your QB turns it over 4 times.

Ok.. I see you don't get it. When you get to own an NFL team you can tell us that you would hire Brad Childress to be your coach.
