**Dolphins at Seahawks** (-4.5, 41.5) 4:05 (1 Viewer)

I just don't know what he is thinking back there... Does he think the D has to count 1 Mississippi, 2 Mississippi before they rush?

Tyreek is worthless with this QB he blows I mean this is your backup QB he sucks so bad you couldn't figure that out when he lost you a playoff game.

Thompson is going to be injured by the end of this game
Likely land on IR within a week or two the way he' s taking a beating today

Ty Huntley won't make this pile of **** the Dolphins call an Offensive Line
Thompson holds the ball way too long which compounds the problem

The OL isn't playing great, but man, Thompson has Mr. Bean level awareness.

This guy is as bad a QB as I've seen. Zero awareness at all. Can't read defenses and has no accuracy.

There is zero chance he's one of the top-64 QBs in the NFL.

Also, what is the game plan here? We have a zero at QB, so let's be pass heavy?
I will say again, Tim Boyle sucks, but has NFL Experience.. You can't tell me he is worst thenThompson.

He may be the only player in the NFL that can rival Skylar for ineptitude.

His career QBR is like 20.

Skylar regressed from his rookie season. He played ok in the BUF loss, 2 bad INTs, 2 long drops by Waddle, some very good throws,
multiple times getting plays in late by MM, some good runs, moxie. A chance to win with 2 mins left. But he's regressed.

In hindsight, instead of signing Mike White on the first day of free agency, there were better options. We also gave up a 2nd for Rosen when there was no competition for him. Bad QB evaluation for decades. If we hadn't signed White, maybe we give up a conditional 5th and get Fields.

I'm not taking away that he regressed as much as it seems like DCs have figured McDaniel out. A really poorly called game. Everyone knows Skylar has a slow release, so why are you running plays that take so long to develop?

Seattle could win this game punting on 1st down for the rest of the game.

ETA: I don't know why Miami's gameplan isn't just run plays, screens, jet sweeps, and 3-step slant/outs.

Miami's coaching staff needs to take a long look in the mirror and maybe get a better haircut.
I place most of the blame on the Head Coach right now
Yeah, that is who I was referring to.
I decided to launch a thread, been wanting to have a more ongoing critical look at a coach who seems to get an awful lot of media support for the way he treats his players
It's great he mostly kisses their butts and is their best buddy but that backfires and he's awfully young when he took the job, think he was truly in awe of some of the players
But you have to instill discipline and be able to lead not just hand out lollipops and pats on the back

This team is lacking fire and focus right now. That long TD with Holland trying to catch up, busted coverages, that just can't happen when the offense is going to be limited to perhaps 20 points a eek and i'm being generous right now

Last week felt bad, this just feels worse although it's probably for the best if Miami keeps losing, they're going nowhere and it Tua being out leads them to 4-13 or worse, that is pretty telling of what the coach is doing with the rest of the positions outside of QB

How is it possible that Thompson is even worse than I thought he’d be? I set the bar pretty freaking low.
Here’s the list of quality backup quarterbacks the Dolphins have had in my 40 years of fandom:

1. N/A
Don Strock….but you probably are too young to remember him.

Bernie Kosar
Scott Mitchell
Steve Deberg

That’s all I can remember as far as quality.
Earl Morrall
Never got to see him. Only NFL Films and my dad’s stories.
