Dom Davis may not make final roster (1 Viewer)

what are the cap implications of releasing him?

The Broncos didn't cut Terrell Davis after his third failed comeback.

The Dolphins kept Robert Edwards for years.

The Broncos still have Lee Suggs and William Green.

There is no way the Texans should cut Dom Davis unless his leg literally fell off.

Hey Chitown, it looks like people over there (at least one anyway) still think it's Morency that'll be Davis' replacement. You still feel that way?

I'm still big on Morency long term. He runs with more downhill aggression and is a bit more explosive than Lundy (not to take anything away from Lundy but he's Andersonesque - not that this is such a bad thing), but I think this thing ends up a RBBC stew at the end of the day.

Isn't it dangerous to run downhill aggressively?

Aug 28, 2006: FootballWire{Houston RB Domanick Davis limped into the Head Coaches office earlier this afternoon, only to turn around and head back home. When asked why he never made it to speak with Kubiak, Davis had this to say "Well, I got halfway there and somthing seemed kind of funny. Then I realized I had left my leg on my kitchen counter before I left the house. I guess I just forgot to take it. " Davis is expected to meet with Kubiak later this week instead.}

I found it somewhat amusing ;)

I agree with Steel Blue Texan (from the link).

If anything I think he will be put on the PUP list then possibly IR if he isn't ready to play by week 9. I highly doubt they flat out cut him.
But if he is cut, a Vikings representative should be the first guy knocking at his door with a briefcase full of cash.

Everything that happens anywhere in the universe is just a :yawn: .

Excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom now. That will also be a ploy...

Why? Didn't the Vikes sign C. Taylor who is healthy and ready to go?I think the Jets would have to take a chance on DD.However, DD is not going to be cut, he would be placed on the PUP and out until week 7.

If there is one thing that Kubiak learned at Shanahan's knee, it is to be inscrutable regarding your running backs.

If DD is not good to go this year then he will be no threat to C Taylor but he may be good down the road. I am not being serious because I don't think he will be cut either. (See line 1.)

:yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: On a side note, I know a lot of people are wondering so I'll say that I own Morency/Lundy in virtually every league I'm in, and I believe that one of them will be a stud haus by year's end and in the top ten RB's for ppr leagues. Kind of like...kind of like DD was. :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes: :yes:
