I offered a guy Domanick Davis and Stephen Davis for Steven Jackson and Chris Chambers - Rejected. I thought he was getting the better value. I'm just trying to deal with bye week issues. I also have K. Jones, W. Dunn, M. Moore and B. Jacobs. He has T. Bell, M. Williams, and M. Bennett. We're both ok at WR. I thought he would jump on the offer. It seems like everyone is prettty down on D. Davis right now - probably not the best time to shop him aroundIf you are trying to get him or get rid of him what are you getting in return? I've got a good group of RB's and am looking for WR help.
I agree. I plan to go after him in a couple leagues after this week. Hopefully he stumbles a bit against Pittsburg and his owner looks to trade him on the bye week. Buffalo and Pitt is a tough way for a RB to start the year. But Cinci, Tennesee, Seattle, Indy, and Cleveland are the next five games. They also get St. Louis, Arizona, and Tennesee again later in the year. I think DD is a prime candidate to trade for on Monday.I plan on targeting him after this weekend. I have Curtis Martin to dangle out there and some mid-level WR's. With the bye week coming and hopefully a bad performance against the Steelers it might put his owner in the mood to deal.
It seemed that last year Dom had a lot of garbage points in games. I am expecting the same this Sunday. A meaningless token touchdown late in the game. Also, playing a home opener is much better than playing on the road like last week. I don't expect stellar numbers but definitely better than last week. I have DD, TJones, SDavis, CBrown, KBarlow and Steve Smith and plan on starting DD, SDavis and TJones as my flex.I'm a DD owner. No one in my league has much interest in him, not that I would trade him anyway. On FA night during the offseason, no one bid on him. I had the Franchise Tag on him so they would've had to have given me 2 first rounders as compensation if I didn't match the offer. 2 first rounders for the guy that had the 5th most RB points in 2004 and fresh off two straight 1K yard seasons.
That being said, I'm not starting him this week. Pitt is too strong on D. I'm going with Thomas Jones but am very tempted to start DD without Big Ben in there and with the heat of Houston playing into the favor of the home team. That may be one of those last minute changes as I have already submitted my lineup with TJones in it.....
Even though Ben is listed as questionable I still think he's going to play. And if he doesn't the game plan is going to be the same anyway: keep the ball on the ground and throw as little as possible. As for the weather, it has been unseasonably hot (86-87) in Pittsburgh this week so I don't think that is going to be much of an advantage for the Texans.I'm a DD owner. I got S. Smith and M. Anderson for Ward and DD in a PPR league, with a big distance bonus.Im going to roll with LJ in my flex if Anderson flames out.If you are trying to get him or get rid of him what are you getting in return? I've got a good group of RB's and am looking for WR help.

I didnt want him but in the Second I felt I had too. Im really happy to be rid of him. Im not sure why, but I am.
Edited to fix the fact that Im a lover not a typer.
I turned down an offer of Harrison for DD in a dynasty league. I could use the WR help, but then that'd leave a hole @ RB since C. Martin is getting up there & Bell hasn't established himself yet.I'm thinking about starting bell over DD this week thoughI traded him this week to an owner who needed a RB, here is what was included:
DD/Dallas Clark/ and Justin Smith(we play IDP)
for
Marvin Harrison/Alge Crumpler/ and Ladell Betts
I think I did okay! ;-)
This would be a huge mistake. Lewis against Tennessee's pathetic defense should be your FIRST play.I need to start 3 out of J. Lewis, D. Davis, LJ, and FWP. I'm leaning towards LJ, FWP and D. Davis.
Not even close, give up DD.Portis >>> DDI have Portis, Edge and DD. A guy in my league wants Portis or DDavis. I am getting Chad Johnson, K. McCardell and Mike Andresen in return. I think that Portis does better this year than last.
You guys think I should give up Portis or DDavis?
Easy decision, make the trade before he changes his mind. Not even close, give up DD.Portis >>> DDI have Portis, Edge and DD. A guy in my league wants Portis or DDavis. I am getting Chad Johnson, K. McCardell and Mike Andresen in return. I think that Portis does better this year than last.
