I have played fantasy baseball for a couple of years but by no means do I put the hours in that some here do. I could use another OF as I am sure the Beltran run will end at some point. I play in a fairly shallow 11 team mixed league. Is Brown worth stashing now? I could afford to hold him for a week or so, but a month + would not be worth it.

So, will he be called up soon?

I thought Brown would be up in a week or so but saw a report he had another step back with minor injury this week, so unclear. In a league that shallow there is always a good outfielder you could play for immediate matchup value.......although not sure why you would get off the Beltran train this week.......

jammed his thumb. doesnt sound too serious. not sure exactly when he'll be up, but when he does, manual has said he will get full time ABs. im a homer, but heck yeah, id stash him. not sure id sit beltran until he gets hurt though.

Brown up today as the Phils put Victorino on the DL

good stuff from ESPN this morning....

GM Ruben Amaro Jr. said the Phillies will "probably not" call up Brown from Triple-A to take Shane Victorino's (hamstring) spot on the roster, the Philadelphia Daily News reports.Spin:Amaro said the Phillies don't think Brown is ready for a promotion. He is hitting .341 with two home runs at Triple-A but has only played in 11 games due to hand injuries.
