Donnie Edwards...anyone else underwhelmed? (1 Viewer)

that was a feeding frenzy last night and he barely seemed involved. Also only had 3 solos. Am I being overly critical? I was expecting a little more from the guy in a game like that. Merriman now seems to be the man in SD.

I think you're being a little overly critical. The Raiders ran only 21 offensive plays in the first half -- eight were pass incompletions or sacks. Edwards was the second highest tackler in the first half including a sack. Jordan barely got back to the LOS in the first half due to the Raider poor overall line play and the continuing stud play from one of the league's best defensive lines. There just wasn't much opportunity there to make tackles.Merriman is certainly the man in SD now from a game-breaking play standpoint and his overall linebacking play looks improved, but when the Chargers play a team that has a clue (max protect, draw plays, etc) Edwards will show his worth.

Should he be a "buy low" candidate?

You can always try, but your experienced FF players won't let him go cheap.
