Now McNabb wants to tell TO it could have been great? He was COMPLETELY silent while the TO fiasco was going on a couple of years ago. I remember hearing him say a couple of time that he was above it and was not going to get involved in that mess. "TO should just keep my name out of his mouth" he said.

TO is finally maturing? That is the pot calling the kettle black. McNabb is one of the mosts immature players in the league. He spouts off all the time that he is the Leader of the team. Problem is someone forgot to tell his teammates that. Hugh Douglas, Ike Reese and Jeremiah Trotter have all talked about the fact that McNabb was not considered a leader when they were playing.

McNabb, in his interview with Mosley, said his knee and ankle injuries which limited his play the past two seasons may have been a blessing in disguise.

"[Last year] was a grind, but the injury actually helped acclimate me to being the type of quarterback that I've wanted to be. It's helped me in certain areas."

What kind of QB is that? Ineffective? Philly averaged 17 pts a game last year. So many have said that his escapability and ability to run is what made him special yet he couldnt embrace it. He still wants to prove that he is a "pocket" QB. He would rather be stubborn and under utilize his talents than give his team the best chance to win.

Philly is a better team with McNabb at QB than Kolb but there will be many here that will be happy when he does eventually leave town.

I don't think anything he says in that article could be considered whining. He's just stating his opinion and I don't dsagree with anything he's said and I don't think anything he's said is inconsistant with things he's said in the past.

Did he steal your girlfriend or something?

Are you related to him or something?

19 TDs to 7 INTs... completed 61% of his passes.... I feel like it has gotten to the point where McNabb is underrated in both fantasy and NFL circles...

One of the knocks on McNabb over the pasts few years is that he refuses to try and put the tough pass into tight quarters. That is why he has low INT totals but high SACK totals. That and the insistance on proving he is more than just a running QB has resulted in high sack totals over the past few years even though Philly has an above average offensive line.

I think the biggest problem with McNabb is that he can't say anything without it being needlessly scrutinized by people like you.

Did you watch him play in the first game? He looked sharp. Maybe he did improve his accuracy by being injured. He says that's the quarterback he wants to be. Are we to scrutinize him because he wants to become a better passer?

Maybe they've both matured. I don't blame McNabb for looking back on the situation and feeling remorse for the way he handled things.

McNabb does say some things that other quarterbacks could get away with and maybe he should keep his mouth shut sometimes. I dont think this is one of those cases. Frankly, I really dont care what he has to say as long as he leads the team to a Superbowl.

Good luck with that.

Pat...are you trying to grind an axe here?

Seriously...that's a terrible article. You have excerpts of McNabb's answers, likely not his full answers, to UNKNOWN QUESTIONS. It's a short article that tries to cover a lot of ground, and by doing so, fails to cover any real ground. I can't see how any intelligant person would be silly enough to take anything from this article!

Ah but it's a great article for those who already knew what they wanted to read.

This dude has been an eagle hater for a long time....he lives in philly so is exposed to them yet trashes them whenever possible. I wouldnt waste your time debating him....you wont change a thing.

you need to take this obvious :fishing: to the FFA.

Why would you bother to fill the Pool with garbage like this right smack in the middle of pre season? This is probably the best time to be trolling around the shark pool looking for info and insights, and you bring this garbage in here? I would insult you, but you dont need any help with that.

I can't see how any intelligant person
:blackdot: I couldn't care less what McNabb is or isn't jabbering on about, but re FF, you can't trust him to stay healthy, but if you're willing to take the risk, you could do a lot worse for a QB2.

McNabb is a VERY good QB when he's healthy, but man he does cry a lot. Of course, if my best WR was Reggie Brown or Kevin Curtis, I'd probably cry too. :blackdot:

I actually like the Eagles. I dont think you can point to a post where I trash them. I take their management to task at times but I dont trash the team. I dont like McNabb. I think he is a phony. The article is front page on ESPN.com. I checked and nobody had commented on the article. I felt it was at least worth commenting on. If you think it isnt news, dont click on the thread.

I sitll get riled up whenever I see TO in a Cowboys jersey or my own green #81*.* - Yes, I still wear it

Non-story here- UNLESS TO fires back. HOPEFULLY he doesn't take the bait.

I think you have to give McNabb a pass last year because he was coming off of a serious injury and we all know you need (over) a full year to recover from that.

Why they don't go out and get him a number 1 rec is beyond me. They have been so good for so long even without a number 1, I just don't see why they want to go in yet another year without getting him some help.

Usually mobile QBs are the ones who end up being sacked the most by the end of the year. Randall Cunningham was sacked 72 times in 1986. Mike Vick was also sacked very often. Ben Roethlisberger is pretty mobile and he led the league in being sacked last year. And Drew Brees who is not mobile at all was sacked the least of any starting QB last year.

Boldin would have been gold.
