I know that AZ-SP Doug Davis has Thyroid cancer and has elected to make 2 starts before surgery........but I was wondering what his expected return was and general prognosis for when he does come back?

Some websites I've seen have very sketchy info as this is not a normal baseball injury and may be difficult to predict. Any help?

Assuming chemo and stuff I wouldnt expect him back until the end of the year.

I visit another board where his father posts and today he is saying May. They have game day threads there and it is tradition that DD father gets DD game day threads.

I dont know if anyone is watching this but DD is having a great night. He just singled with bases loaded. He is pitching great. Has one pick off. This is like a disney movie in the making.

Great game. I have to get up early and this game is going on forever. I am calling it a night as S Drew hits a triple in the bottom of the 8th. Hopefully the D backs hold on here. My prayers are with DD.
