Is Dr Gobbler banned? It says it under his name, but his profile is still in tact and you can still click on his name. Usually when banned, doesn't your name next to a post become unclickable? Can we bring him back to continue to let him know what a deadbeat he is?

I didn't respond because it's stupid. I give lots of money each year to charity, and I donate to the ACLU, who fight for the undocumented. I have also participated in marches on behalf of the undocumented in Los Angeles. But who really cares about this ####? And suppose I hadn't done any of this; why would that matter either? BTW, if you have high blood pressure I'd think that some of the discussions you get in to around here are stress creators and not relievers. If that wasn't the case, you wouldn't have threatened to quit the bored on multiple occasions because you felt people were mean to you. So please, quit it.

Regardless of political persuasion and other differences, Tim has been consistent with paying off bets here (documented), and I believe he does contribute to organizations consistent with his beliefs (not documented, but I do believe him). If you thought that jumping on a guy a lot of people here get annoyed by (sorry Tim, not including myself in that) would somehow garner you some favor, you were wrong. I'd drop it.

I'm also blown away that there are charities that benefit illegal aliens and that people donate to them. Not only because they are breaking the law and enough of our tax dollars already go to them in various ways, but because there are causes like cancer and PTSD where people are truly suffering. But far be it from me to judge where someone donates, I'm just genuinely surprised.

To be precise, it's not exactly a charity. I would like to see the laws changed with regard to illegals, so I give money to the ACLU which fights in their defense. That is not the only reason I give money to them. I have also donated money to fight cancer, and I actually raised $5,000 to fight brain cancer after my mother died.
When it comes to donations, I don't think it's a good idea to evaluate how people give money. Is it more moral to give money to fighting diseases than it is to give money to a museum or a school or a college sports team or to help Christian missionaries? I have my own priorities, but I don't expect others to share them.
