Dr. Wayne Dyer has died (1 Viewer)

I've watched him a number of times on PBS. He's helped me with my way of thinking and getting through in life. May he RIP. If I'm not mistaken, cancer took his life. :( May he RIP.

Somewhere on a message board your wife frequents is a thread titled, I Might Not Know What an Aircraft Carrier Is, But At Least I Know Who Wayne Dyer Is.

My recent ex-wife was his publicist for a while. Didn't hear good things.
So share.
Nothin' real bad. Chased a lot of tail, was very demanding and full of himself. This was after he was divorced in 2001, so whatever. Every self-help author that was represented by that publishing company was nothing like their public persona.

They all have a shtick they are selling. It probably doesn't surprise you that there's a lot of BS in that industry, everybody trying to get on Oprah or Dr. Phil.

You guys have really never heard of Dr Wayne Dyer? Bunch of animals around here.
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

How people treat you is their karma; how you react is yours.

When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it's always your choice.

Conflict cannot survive without your participation.

You cannot be lonely if you like the person you're alone with.

The highest form of ignorance is when you reject something you don't know anything about.

When you dance, your purpose is not to get to a certain place on the floor. It's to enjoy each step along the way.

Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life.

Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.

Really? How many posts have I dropped the "C" word? Or are you counting how many times you've read my signature and my posts in Corbin's thread? And my bad. It doesn't start with a C. He died of leukemia...

I read Your Erroneous Zones in 1989, Sophomore year in college.

One of the biggest things I took out of the book was something that really changed my life for the better. There was a section that talked about worry and guilt. And how worry and guilt can affect your entire quality of life. Dr Dyer asked you to keep a worry journal for one month. At the end of your day he asked you to write down things you worried about that day. I did this for an entire month....no joke.

I then went back to this journal 60 days after completing it and looked at every worry or feeling of guilt I had. There were over 45 items I logged.

2 months after doing this only 2 things still had any relevance and were worth thinking about and putting any amount of emotional energy into.

Simply put....don't sweat the small stuff.

Changed my life.

RIP Dr Wayne Dyer.
