Draft Chat With our Draftniks Matt Waldman and Sigmund Bloom Tonight D (1 Viewer)

Been talking dynasty a lot, but from a redraft perspective, Thomas is going to be an enticing RB3 pick in the 6th or 7th, assuming that only one of Brown/Ricky comes back. RB2 in the 3rd/4th if neither returns.

I'm shocked that Martez Wilson has fallen this far. Titans need an interior LB. Ayers and Wilson would be huge for our very unathletic LB corp. I was hoping for him in the 2nd.

RT @Coach_JGill: Think it has to do w/media dragging Mallett thru mud w/no evidence? ... Yes. Car, Ten, Min, SF don't scout. Just read 'net.

Wilson is ILB/OLB tweener, some say 3-4 OLB might be his best fit. Could be the reason he has fallen.

Dynasty is definitely the discussion mode on draft day. Plenty of time this summer to reload

Zimmer already calling Moch a situational third down player.

Irving very interesting, but may not cover well enough to play every down if he bumps Joe Mays from the MLB spot.

Sheppard looks like long term SILB next to Posluszny. Solid pick and can learn plenty from Andra Davis.

Housler has nice upside and I think former H-back Wisenhunt has a feel for TEs. Dray was a nice late-round pick and he ditched Pope, so I think this third-round selection could be a nice sign.

Housler should grow into an adequate blocker because he has shown he's game.

Hmm Irving could stay in the middle after all? DJ Williams is going to WLB right? I liked Irving on film as much as any LB in this class, car accident recovery uncertainty and potential to be moved outside was what kept him down in the predraft 100. I just might slot him as LB1 in the post-draft 100, albeit outside of the top 20.
Agreed. He was on my short list for up the gut support in Dallas. Still some good beef left if they go that way. I've seen a lot of Moch out here and he can certainly help any NFL team, which can't be said about many 3rd rounders a couple years down the road.

Reads like a better athlete than football player. Not sure he fits anywhere other than 4-3 OLB. Not too many teams looking for those kinds of players high in the draft unless they're elite talents.

Would be wary about Irving playing every down though.

Murray to Dallas. Interesting. Very boom or bust pick in dynasty drafts. Possibly stuck in an RBBC, but a guy who could get big carries on an explosive offense. Not a huge fan of Murray, but Dallas is certainly an interesting location.

Stop - Lammey time (PS - the seats are up to the NFL, not FBGS, the radio station or me. But they are closer than they seem.)

Murray can grow into a bit of everything the Cowboys have in their backfield right now. Iffy "right now" fantasy pick, but patient owners should be rewarded. He's patient, tough, and versatile. He could wind up being a leader for this team. Good character guy.

No OTAs or access to coaches will really hurt the Cincinnati defense.

Still don't know if Maualuga is a MLB or SLB. Zimmer just said he didn't yet know whether Michael Johnson was a DL or LB -- still. And now Moch as another situation guy. Might be sandlot ball on early downs this year.

On RBs in this draft. Very important to know 4th round guys and later in this draft for sure...Some might winde up in better situations than early guys.

Mayock stumbling around is brutal to watch. If you are going to call a guy out on "issues" and someone asks you what those issues are you better be ready to say more than, "it is not my place to say!" OOF

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEACH

Ridley the worst reach of the draft so far. He's a BJGE clone. Power back who gets what is there.

Really wondering what BB is thinking here

You know, one thing to say to all Vereen detractors...Pats never could draft an RB in Belichek era: Cedric Cobb, Redmond...now they took Ridley in third round...Ridley has potential, but he rushes his approach to the hole and that's an issue that's not easy to fix among RBs.

Is Mallett out of the top 30 in rookie drafts on the bench behind Brady? Sorry BSS for your flyer pick in PDSL.
