Draft Day Buzz (1 Viewer)

Only thing I'm certain of.....

The Cards won't take Blaine Gabbert. I'd guess they'll go Peterson or trade down (Washington?)

----------------

JMO This is the most overrated group of QB's in a long long time. Shows how desperate teams are for a QB. You have 3rd,4th,5th round talents projected to go in Round 1.

Falcons beat writer that pooh-pooh'd Glazer's trade up rumor just tweeted:

Just arrived the Branch. Mr. Blank's black van is outside. The place is buzzzing. Falcons appear ready to trade up

So Gabbert is dropping in the pre-mocks. This will be interesting to see how far he drops.

Really hoping Washington (or anyone) moves ahead of San Francisco to take Gabbert. As a Niner fan, I don't trust him to be a franchise QB. Give me any of the other top 7 instead of a QB, please.

Well, I'm convinced that teams will reach for qbs and set their franchise back a few years. But when/who will be the first non-qb surprise pick?

Good teams with good QBs are licking their chops right now. Players not usually expected to drop are going to drop to good teams because of this QB frenzy situation. Funny thing is these QBs don't deserve the high draft spots.

I'll tell you what I trust... Harbaugh's judgment in picking and molding QBs. I believe in Harbaugh. If Gabbert is his guy, I'm a believer. If he passes on Gabbert, that says a lot to me.

I think I just have so much PTSD over the Alex Smith era. I'd rather see Harbaugh's magic with a young vet or 2nd round QB and get a stud position player in the 1st. Just my two cents.

I was thinking the same thing. Atlanta, St. Louis and even Detroit have to love this. (if it pans out)
