Draft Dominator Apps (1 Viewer)

I've been using the old school Draft Dominator Classic app for probably 10-12 years. Every year, since they started offering them, I've tried to use the new Draft Dominator Apps and I can never get any of them to work properly. I figured early on they were "working out the kinks" but I think it's been what, 5? 6? years, maybe more. They rarely sync to my leagues properly (CBS/ESPN/Myfantasyleague), if they do they get the settings wrong. If you fix the settings they get magically unfixed. This year I tried again and I can't get any of them to even login to ESPN or CBS. I don't even bother with MFL anymore. The MFL league is my MAIN league so, I want to "dominate" that all on my own, but for these CBS and ESPN office leagues, I thought a handy app might be nice, IF IT WORKED!!

In fact if you... well, when I try to login to CBS Sports it takes you directly to the Change My Password page, which is weird because I am logged in...with my current password.

I just wondered if they work for anybody. Like, does anyone have good experiences with these apps?

Also Footballguys support on these things is nonexistent. All I get are canned responses directing to me to the instructions that I already tried to follow.

Yeah, I don't know if I'm interested anymore in trying to get them to work, I was just wondering if they worked well for anyone?

They seem to be a big part of the advertising for new subscribers so maybe I'm just doing something wrong - every year!

Amen. I spent a good 30 minutes custom entering a draft order convoluted by dozens of trades into DD Classic because DD hasn't synced with CBS for over a year. And now I can't get my CBS league to sync at all with League Dominator.

Honestly, if these tools continue to not function, this will probably be my last year with Football Guys, after probably 15 seasons.

FWIW, I've used the browser based version of DD for several years linked to MFL and it has always worked flawlessly for me. By "classic" are you referring the "installable on Windows" version?

I was having issues with the CBS link as well. Mocks were not working, not syncing. Something weird with the login/password link and it claiming my leagues had not been renewed/contact the commissioner (which in one league is me). But for some reason doing a live draft worked fine. Sync was there and all the teams and draft order (mine is also "convoluted by dozens of trades").

League Dominator seems to be working with CBS too. But it isn't as smooth a sync as MFL has been.

Works perfectly on desktop. On mobile, just reverts to the "get started" page and simply refuses to load drafts that are already running in the system, even if I switch to desktop mode, rendering it useless if on the move

Yes, (re:Classic) the excel based application. I use that for my main league, that I commission, I can get in and customize it. For the leagues I participate in that are "less intense" it would be nice if I could just "sync it and forget it", but this year I', frustrated because I can't even get the browser based app to login to these leagues. (CBS and ESPN), so I guess I'm jealous.

With CBS I keep getting a message saying I'm not logged in, even though I am. (I'm using Chrome and I downloaded their extension) - one time it said CBS is down for maintenance, try again later. (It wasn't - as far as I could tell!)

ESPN just spins and says "detecting login".

IDK, maybe something on my computer is blocking it. I wanted to hear that it worked for someone before wasting anymore time trying to figure it out!

I did finally get it to work with our ESPN league. I think the problem may have been that the commissioner in that league had not actually set up the draft until an hour or so before it was set to start.

You have two choices: If you press "I HAVE LOGGED IN" a spinning wheel that says, Detecting LOGIN state spins forever. If you choose LOG IN TO CBS SPORTS it takes you to the CHANGE MY PASSWORD page on the CBS SPORTS site. I really don't want to change my password. I've logged in and out of CBS Sports several times and refreshed the footballguys page. Same result. Every once in a while a red box will pop up that says "Something went wrong - Could not find host website login. Please try logging out of the host website and logging back in, then trying again."

"Trying again" has not yielded a different result.

The weird thing for me seemed to be the login/password that worked on CBS didn't seem to work through the DD. It was almost like CBS was not case sensitive, but the DD asking CBS to login was. After a few tries, it all of a sudden logged in properly and synced. I ran a few mocks and then it stopped registering the team names. Then I ran an actual draft and everything worked fine.

The League Dominator seems to be working (I have 2 CBS leagues, 3 MFL), just waiting for it to update, if it is going to with cuts, projections, etc.

Same boat here with ESPN. My draft on ESPN is this afternoon, and I'd like to run a few mock drafts, but I can't even manually enter in a draft order. Its a blank page.
I know actual draft order isn't set until an hour before, but I would like to at least run a few scenarios. Anyone figure this out yet?

For anything with our Footballguys apps, the best and fastest way to get help is visiting www.footballguys.com/help and click "contact support". They'll need a few bits of info from you and then they'll do their best to help.

ESPN and CBS in particular have changed the way we synch with their platforms and both have been creating trouble for some folks. We apologize and our Customer Service folks will do their best.
