How can such an average team have apparently so few holes to fill?
Well our O was certainly average. Defense is consistently at the top. We started 3 rookies last year and finished up with Simms at QB, and last year was his first year starting. Lots of promise.

11-5 is average now?Buddy, you're a Vikings fan, so you know average better than anybody...pretty sure you wouldn't be calling the Queens that if they ever tripped up onto 11 wins somehow.

Fine. Slightly above average. A first round playoff loss to the Redskins doesn't deserve much more.

i went with Wimbley

to me right now this is the BPA

the team can draft for the line in rounds 2 and 3 and still get solid prospects

Fonoti and Tucker don't solve the biggest problem, imo.

Barber and Kelly are good, but they need depth, or a dominant safety.

I'd say they have BPA luxury if they still want to have a below average line.

So you think McNeill is the right pick?

I went with Wimbley as well but... I also think this is a prime spot for someone to move up and grab a player who falls (D Williams, Lawson, Cromartie, etc.). Tampa Bay has a plenty of aging players on that D who need an heir apparent and can afford to move down a few spots.

I picked him, but I wouldn't if the back problem was serious. I don't know the prognosis, so yeah. I think McNeill is a top ten talent in a normal draft if the back isn't a long-term issue.

LenDale White and here is why. Alstott is getting old, "Cadillac" ran in a 2 back rotation in college, I think he could still have 20 carries and catch 3-5 a game and be a superstar. No reason White would be the #1 back. White also shared a lot of time with Reggie Bush and I think he would still be good for 15 carries a game and used as a battering ram in the late 2nd quarter and 4th quarters of games where his size and ability would not be fun for tired defenses.

The Bucs defense is good enough to keep winning so why not get another toy on offense for this up and coming team?

Solid reasoning. Where do you factor in the recently acquired Jerald Sowell into the mix, then?

Interesting take MoP. I should have included a few more toys for the offense. Alex Smith looked good, but the TEs could be in play here. So could a surprise back not named LenDale.

I think a sleeper at this pick is Richard Marshall. But then I am very high on him. He is a TB type of corner. Reminds me of Winfield with better coverage skills and playmaking ability... Ronde2.

Sowell? yeah OK

I think someone like a Maroney would want to be the feature back...White and especially since he needs some time to heal would make a better choice. It is a little bit of a reach but this team simply needs to score more points...and the running game looked pretty good at times last season. If "Cadillac" gets hurt again you need a good plan B. Almost as important as a good backup at QB is having a capable back up at RB. Pittsburgh used all their RB last season and than went with a nice 1-2 punch of Parker/Bettis down the stretch.

Ugh.Caddy is a guy who gets better with more carries. Doesn't make any sort of sense to add the same player.

No way they go RB here.

While not a stud, Sowell is a pretty decent fullback.White wouldn't be shocking, but two first round picks, in consecutive years on a RB? I just can't see it. I guess if DeAngelo fell, maybe.

I'd see Sinorice Moss as an option before White.

But, I'm going with Jason Allen here.
