This is a 12 team league, same owners for many years, mostly shrewd. I will say that after golf and drinking some of the picks weren't as shrewd as in years past.

League is redraft, non PPR, 6 points all TD's, bonuses for 100 and 300 yards, and very heavy DEF/ST scoring. QB's and Defenses go sooner in our format than many other leagues. Also, this is a 1 QB, 2 RB, 3WR start league, so receivers are at a premium. The QB run on the big 4 took place very early. Good value on QB's as late as rounds 9/10. What surprised me is that the WR run that I would have bet my house on didn't occur on the first turn. Therefore, top 5 WR's fell to the end of round 2, providing lots of value.

I drafted from the 3 hole and ended up with this roster:

Roethlisberger, Garrard

Westbrook, Bush, Chester Taylor, Chris Perry, Ray Rice

Braylon Edwards, Brandon Marshall, Ted Ginn, Dallas Clark, Rashied Davis

Josh Brown

Charger D

Keys will be having RB2 work out. I took Taylor right before the ADP owner selected - he was pissed. But if ADP goes down I have a sure top 10 back at RB2. If not, I will need Bush, Perry or Rice to work out. If that happens, and my WR3 situation pans out, I should be pretty tough.

I can't believe how many very good players dropped ridiculously in your draft. Graham in the 6th?? Are you kidding me? Why on earth did you take Taylor over him?

why did you post this?
Why did you open the post and respond to it? I posted because the most helpful posts to me the past 2 weeks in preparing for my draft has been seeing trends in other FBG drafts. Get more info about the leagues as opposed to mock drafts on Antsports. Thought it might be helpful to others.

Won't turn this into a RMD. I agree with you on Graham, probably my biggest miss. (though I could trade Taylor for Graham at any time with the ADP owner straight up).

:lmao:The DeSean Jackson hype is getting a little out of control (and I'm an Eagles fan). I talked someone out of taking him around the 8th round (I'm not in the league). Of course, another Eagles fan came along and took him a round later. :lmao:

 I don't mind ppl posting their random drafts in the pool - but don't bait me into reading them with subtitles like "interesting draft results".This is not interesting. Get over yourself.
Don't really have the energy for this type of tool factor X 2. Take it to FF Today where you and the likes of e-baller would fit in quite nicely. Changed the title of the thread. Just ignore my posts in the future - make it easier on both of us.

i think his point is it's a little more "rough" at FFToday. but you are correct, still a great site.

because your title claimed it was interesting.I didn't expect anyone to actually just start a thread detailing their fantasy team --- usually that's reserved for random replies.
Respect the Member # The more you :goodposting: and bump the thread the longer it stays on P1. I think most of us find real SP drafts of interest - WRT trends, moving ADPs, etc. If you don't like it, why bother commenting? Just move along.

Thanks for the post Judge. I'm in the middle of a slow draft right now and felt like i kinda reached for Selvin in the 5th but I like the pick more as I look at the 6th and 7th of yours. Similar trending in ours. Not nearly as many knucklehead picks though. Doggone it.

FWIW I passed on Graham too. Not a believer.

I can use this to project a few rounds ahead in mine. Good tool.

Won't happen, nor should it. A couple atypical samples to browse are fine though.Dude, it's draft week for many. Maybe the funnest part of the year for us. I really can't understand the problem you have with it.

JS ---

Thanks for the draft results. I find it helpful to see how some of the other drafts pan out, especially when the scoring is similar in the leagues I draft in. I found a couple of interesting bits here and I am wondering if you can clarify or provide some insight.

My league also is heavy TDs with only yardage bonuses over 100 yds rush/rec (Not combo yds) or 300 yds pass. It looks like your strategy was to wait on QB till the later rounds. I have seen the Brady effect where teams are drafting QBs early, but in your scoring system, wouldn't it have made more sense to target one of the top QBs in the 1st or 2nd round? In looking at VBD, everything has been screaming to pick QB early this year rather than wait? I guess I was wondering if you can elaborate on your strategy at the 3rd pick and how you approached your draft.
Surprised that McGahee and Turner went after Maroney, especially since Maroney may have his TDs vulched.
Knowing what you know now, how would you alter your draft strategy if you had to do it again?

1) I did several mocks and I did not like the outcome when drafting Brady that high. VBD had Brady at #2, but it didn't add up for me. I would never consider Manning, Romo and Brees in the first round. My strategy wasn't to wait on QB's - matter of fact, I had hoped Romo or Brees might slip to me at 2.10. But all 4 QB's were gone in the first 14 picks. I was able to grab 2 great WR's in 2/3. I still wanted a very good QB, and Big Ben was one of the few I thought could throw for 30 TD's. I had him just outside the top 4. The Brady owner in our league has Brandon Jacobs and Jonathan Stewart as his starting RB's. I wouldn't feel comfortable with that.2) Not surprised at all about where Maroney went. He's on a much better offense that is expected to run more. McGahee has been running in the pool as opposed to the football field, has a poor offense, inexperienced QB's and a good rookie RB in Rice who has been impressive. Turner may be slipping, but he's a risk too. Rookie QB, rebuilding team, weak offense.

3) As one poster said, maybe I got too caught up in CT keepaway from the ADP owner. But I do love his upside. Maybe I take Graham there. But individual picks aside, I think the flow of the draft with respect to position runs went as good as I could have hoped.

On a side note, almost every owner who went QB or WR first was left having to take best available RB's available, even though there was better value in other positions. Put them in a predictable, weak position.
