Draft Sharks Website (1 Viewer)

I'm a member here, but wanted to know if anyone uses Draft Sharks, and how you like it for an additional viewpoint

Two guys in my league use it and like it. One stopped this year though as I think he said they had to pay for preseason and then regular. I go there just to see some of the projections, but they seem a bit offbase to me.

Edit to add disregard my comments. I was confused with Fantasy Sharks. I thought you were asking about that one.

Draft Sharks I used YEARS ago and always liked it. Eventually tried fantasyguru with John Hansen for a year and then switched to here.

I like it here the best, but I do kind of miss draft sharks view......

I am guessing the paid content is pretty good. One thing I like though are message boards to get a pulse on what the masses think, and given their board is member's only, I doubt it is very active. So, it boils down to what you are looking for.

$29 for the pre-season, i have some funky league scoring, so thats why i am looking into another VBD type software option for added viewpoints to the draft strategy

a little pricey though

I signed up this year as they have been the top ranked fantasy site as far as projections go over the past 3 years. I must say that I think that their projections are very nice, but the paid content isn't so hot. I use football guys for all my fantasy news and these message boards, but use draft sharks projections as a solid baseline.

I've gotten Draft Sharks every year for as long as I can remember (along with FBG of course). And I still haven't renewed my subscription to Sharks yet. I'm on the fence. I just don't know if I need it. FBG has had everything I've needed in my preparation the past few weeks.

So much free info, no need to pay. I used to be a member at DS. I'll give them credit, they arent afraid to go out on a limb with their rankings.

I joined Draft Sharks for the first time this year (only for the preseason pkg). The preseason only for $30 is too pricey and i likely won't renew. However, I do like the different perspective though their MVP board is way off of others I have seen. They heavily weigh TEs and QBs - not at all like here or 4-for-4 which I am also a member. i like to get different perspectives - I also joined Rotoviz, they have a lot of contributors which some very creative thinking and tools. Have to be careful about info overload though ...

I used to use them, but left about 3 yrs ago. At that point they seemed to have 1 writer, which was lame. Last year I learned that the guy won 2 of my redraft leagues was still using them, so I am giving them another shot this year. They do go out on a limb more than this and other sites and seem to have more writers this year. NOT nearly as many as this site, which is good/bad. I find this site has so many opinions, the contradict each other often.

I was a long time member of DS until about 2 years ago when I found fbg.

DS is whack. Here are the reasons why:

1) first and foremost their content compared to fbg is a joke (frankly I think every sites content compared to fbg is a joke, but DS is REALLY lacking in comparison).

2) they pride themselves on their outside the box rankings, but they really aren't all that "out on a limb" like they claim to be. For instance, although I haven't been a member for 2 years I still get their texts. Yesterday I got an text from them touting how they have been leading the Cj spiller bandwagon since last season. Uhhh, that's not that profound, guys. Tell me that you were pounding rentable in taking ap at #1 overall last season despite coming off that acl. Tell me that you pounded the table on Cecil shorts breaking out in 2012. Then ill be impressed.

3) they used to have this guy there named john miller. I'm pretty sure they canned him but my goodness he was an a hole of epic proportions. He caused many of the best subscribes to leave the site with his antics. He used to threaten people to kick them off the site regularly. I heard that he even threatened one forum subscriber by telling him "remember we have your home address". In their defense, he is gone, but his presence caused a mass exodus of many of the most knowledgable forum members (including myself) from DS.

3) their forums are weak. Fbg forums absolutely crush DS. Very few posters in comparison.

All in all fbg destroys DS in every aspect.
