Drafted 5 RB's (1 Viewer)

I sure was getting crap about loading up on RB's. I saw that Chester Taylor was available late, REAL late. I had already had 4 backs but I took Taylor anyway.

I think drafting 2 kickers or 2 defenses is way more out of hand then loading up on starting rb's.

Tom Brady

Larry Johnson

Larry Fitz

Jay Cutler

Julius Jones

Jacoby Jones

quality>>>quantity

That said, worst case a decent/performing RB (even in a RBBC) is solid trade bait for upgrades later when someone else is hurting.

I think if you wait on grabbing a RB2, like you obviously did, you should draft 5... Hedge your bets, especially if a Gruden RB is your RB2

I took 5 in my league and drafted in the 7th spot

Larry Johnson

Cedric Benson

Jerious Norwood

Brandon Jackson

Michael Turner

There was a lot of rb potential in rounds 5-8 this year, allowing for rounding out at other positions. In one 12-team draft, I took RB's as follows:

R. Bush 2.03

Cadillac 5.10

Deuce 7.10

Jamal Lewis 8.03

Kevin Jones 12.03

In that league, QB's scoring is higher. So I drafted Palmer at 1.10. Roy Williams at 3.10, Antonio Gates at 4.03, and Randy Moss at 6.03.

In another 12-team league, this one PPR, the same rb crew was there for me.

Bush 1.11

Caddy 4.02

Deuce 6.02

L. Jordan 7.11

I was able to get Chad Jonshon, Roy Williams, and took the Bears D (Defense scores very high in this league).

Basically, with all of the RB's in th emid rounds, I was able to take highly rated players at other positions. Hopefully it is a strategy that will pay dividends.

they are just jealous, i got the same crap last year as I kept 6 on my roster

LT

BUSH

T Bell

K Jones

then the hancuffs-mcallister,turner. I won the league.

A buddy and I split a team and picked up 8 in a 12 team ppr. Only have 5 WRs but we're the best Waiver wire ninjas in the league.

Rivers, Philip

Bush, Reggie

Portis, Clinton

Holmes, Santonio

Williams, Roy

Shockey, Jeremy

Hanson, Jason

I took 8 RBs in my 10 team, 17 round draft

1.9 R.Johnson

2.2 T.Henry

6.9 D.McAllister

8.2 M.Barber

10.2 L.Jordan

13.9 C.Brown

16.2 A.Peterson

17.9 D.Dorsey

I'm really hoping that I can use some of these guys as trade bait later in the season, time will tell.

It is a good stategy in my eyes, because of the great trade value. Everybody can find WRs, TEs, and even QBs for bye weeks or injury replacements, but RBs are so tough to come by.Last year, I drafted Jamal Lewis, Reggie Bush, Kevin Jones, Cadillac Williams, Deshaun Foster, Deangelo Williams, and Jerrious Norwood. Cadillac sucked, Jones got hurt, and some others were just inconsistant.....but I won my championship platooning them the whole way (and Bush performed well late). In theory, some of those RBs have to break-out.
