DROY predictions (1 Viewer)

I have a dark horse here as well and probably lose all credibility (not that I had it to begin with) on this board......drum roll please!!!!

Rob Ninkovich :bag:

I like Sims or Ryans this year because the defense will be on the field a lot. I'm going with Ryans as well.

Ill be very surprised if it's not Ryans. I would say Ernie Sims, Donte Whitner, and Kamerion Wimbley are the top contenders after Demeco.

I think Ryans is the obvious choice as well. Sims is in the mix, too. I like Jimmy Williams, Tamba Hali, and Kamerion Wimbley as NFL darkhorses.

Ryans by a whisker over Hawk and Sims.
 AJ Hawk.....you can't be serious???? that guy has been out of place so far this offseason, and has to contend with Barnett.Simms and Ryans are neck in neck in my book....but i'm going with Simms. The guy is a flat out animal....running sideline to sideline like a 3 year Vet in my eyes. Ryans will finish just a bit shy of him, only because the defense will have very little rest in Houston and he will wear down quickly.no one will ever compare to Vilma!!!!!That guy set the standard in my book!

Who would have thought late April that Hawk would not even be a candidate in early September.

I am going with D Ryans. Sims second.

Kamerion Wimbley, lock it up, championship.

ETA: If Strahan gets hurt within the first two weeks, Mathias Kiwanuka.

I'll throw in a name - Donte Whitner.

He should start from day 1 and figures to get a good amount of business as the last line in that defense.

I haven't seen all the rookies play, so I won't venture a guess. I am just not prepared to "lay it on the line".

I will say that Kam'ron Wimbley looks like a solid end who plays NFL football well.

I hope the Kam'ron nickname catches on. What happens to all the people who "lay it on the line" that are wrong?

The situations that guys are in may give them the chance stat wise to be in the running, but who are the real playmakers out there? The guys who will make plays all the time because that is what they do? Any players like that in this years class? Lay it on the line. If you're not sure don't guess.

I'll throw in two dark horses, from the same division. One that I've liked for a long time now, one that IMO is hit or miss.

Tamba Hali = might just be the top rookie DE in fantasy, and will help KC

Thomas Howard = physical ability is there, but can he keep his head in the game? If so, he could be a sack monster.

Doesn't add much to what the above posters have said.I'm also gonna go with DeMeco Ryans, and mention Ernie Simms as the premier backup candidate.Another candidate? Michael Huff

sims

also... ryans, hawk, whitner & super mario

* just an observation that all these guys could be on potentially not very good teams (only ryans not top 10 pick, & he went with first pick in second after HOU took mario with first overall pick)... if a high profile rookie helps turn a defense & team around, that could help their chances...

Anyone who's been paying attention knows my prediction: DeMeco Ryans.who's it gonna be?
Ernie Simsor Kamerion Wimbley
cmon champ take a stand. Which one?
Ryans will be like Tatupa and make playsSims will ignite the Lions DEFbut Wimbley will make SportsCenter every Sunday. This years, MerrimanTom
Mario Williams. Just because his talent is on another level. He will get every chance to produce, and I have seen some flashes in the preseason.

Wimbley, Super Mario, and Michael Huff.

I guarantee, however, that if he gets to start more than 10 games, that Kiwanuka will get it.

James Anderson
I'm thinking of picking him up in zealots, he's a FA. Morgan would have to get hurt for JA to play?
If you believe what's being said by the newspapers in Carolina, Seward is the backup to Morgan and the coaches like what Draft gives them at both positions as well. Anderson may be buried for the time being. Still bears watching closely, though, he has an excellent chance of producing if things break well for him.

just watched the Browns/Bears game on replay - can I change my vote to Wimbley?

Guy is an absolute BEAST. Looks like the Browns hit a home run with this guy - he could be an absolute steal at 13.
