DROY predictions (1 Viewer)

Ryans by a whisker over Hawk and Sims.
 AJ Hawk.....you can't be serious???? that guy has been out of place so far this offseason, and has to contend with Barnett.Simms and Ryans are neck in neck in my book....but i'm going with Simms. The guy is a flat out animal....running sideline to sideline like a 3 year Vet in my eyes. Ryans will finish just a bit shy of him, only because the defense will have very little rest in Houston and he will wear down quickly.no one will ever compare to Vilma!!!!!That guy set the standard in my book!
Fair enough but I'm not sure if I want to allow a couple of preseason games to nullify what I saw on the collegiate level the past couple of seasons. Hawk is a talented player, no matter how you look at it.

Fantasy ROY IDP : Ryans

NFL ROY IDP : Sims

and you heard it here first ... darkhorse ... Jason Allen, Dolphins

Urlacher also looked bad his first season.3 of his first 4 games he had 2 tackles, 3 tackles and 6 tackles.

Granted Hawk was a phenom type of player at the college level, but that was against lines made of boys....not the men who have been hardened over the years in the NFL...Hawk will need a good year or 2 in my eyes to be a productive producer. The receivers run much more complex and quicker routes then the college teams....he will need time to learn to put himself in position.Urlacher may not have started out with solid numbers, but he was on a team that had and always will be a "defense" first unit....Green Bay on the other hand has had an atrocious defense for a few years running and they will need to change the teams dynamic before they can avercome the muck and mire they are in.

I look at Schlegel on the Jets who was Hawks' counterpart to have the same slow progression....but in a few years Vilma and Schlegel will be a dynamic duo.

DROY= Sims

AJ Hawk = value in dynasty leagues, but not a top point producer for a few years.

New York Jets = the cause of all highs and low in my life.

I'll take the underdog (here anyways)

AJ Hawk

I watched the Packers pre-season games and there were moments he looked awesome. Right now he's hesitant but by game 2 or 3.. he'll be the man!

Like many predicted looks like a two horse race between Hawk and Ryans

A.J. Hawk, Green Bay Packers – 95 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 FF

DeMeco Ryans, Houston Texans – 99 tackles, 2.5 sacks

Other notables:

Mark Anderson, Chicago Bears – 8 sacks

Kamerion Wimbley, Cleveland Browns – 6.5 sacks

Dawan Landry, Baltimore Ravens – 3 ints, 2 sacks

Richard Marshall, Carolina Panthers – 3 ints, 1 FF
