Every once in a while the planets will align and when I'm drinking I get inspired by a thread here and head down the ol' "Drunkworm Rabbithole". A nostalgic trip into the music that defined me as a yout. Tonight, after dinner, rockaction's "Neat, Neat, Neat" thread inspired me to start down that youtube rabbit hole. And I realized something...despite my varied musical tastes my rabbit hole ALWAYS ends with King's X. My musical tastes have changed many times over the years but for some reason these guys are always "home" to me. Actually, the reason is no secret.  They were the house band to my formative years in Houston, TX.  And I never appreciated them enough back then.  They were damn near the house band at Cardi's/Backstage and I never recognized how great they truly were until many years later. Don't get me wrong, I loved them, but I never blinked an eye when they blew up Woodstock with "Over my Head" or their cover of "Manic Depression". Or when they tore up the late night shows with "Black Flag" or "It's Love". These days, I could listen to them for hours. And I'm contemplating a road trip next weekend to SC or GA to see them  So FU rockaction!

But the real reason for this post is to ask, "who is your drunkworm rabbithole"?

 Probably The Damned or The Stooges, actually. Heading down that hole...there's a lot there.
