1) Ben Roethlisberger (12-23, 161, 4TDs) took advantage of short fields all day long to feast on the Browns defense. It will be interesting to see what he can do against an NFL defense. I also like when the Steelers passed on 1st and goal in the redzone; you never saw that a few years ago. I like the way OC Arians opened up the playbook last year. This year, he is doing more of the same . . .
2) Santonio Holmes (2-55, TD) was only targeted three times, but again, don't panic, the Steelers didn't have far to travel to reach the endzone. He did have a drop, but Big Ben threw the ball slightly behind him.
3) Hines Ward (3-51, TD) received 5 targets, so he's not ready to cede the WR1 position to Holmes just yet . . .
4) Pittsburgh's offensive line had Big Ben scrambling all day - against a real defense, I see Ben going down often . . .
5) Willie Parkers's statistics look decent 27-109, 1-(-2)) but his blocking stinks. He whiffed on two blocks. People were talking about him being a three down back this year, but it was easy to see why Davenport (8-43, 1-17) retained 3rd down duties . . .
6) Cleveland's "new" OL did nothing. LG Steinbach just came back from an injury and missed all preseason. Frye (4-10, 34, INT) and Anderson (13-28, 184, TD, INT(were constantly on the run. It will take some time for this new OL to gel . . .
7) Jamal Lewis (11-35, 2-11) looked finished. He basically took what the OL gave him, which was little . . .
8) Winslow 4-83, 9 targets) was the man. His average target was 17 yards, which is excellent for a TE . . .
9) Braylon Edwards's (3-49, 10 targets) day was better than it looked. A lot of his missed targets were horrible throws by the Cleveland QBs. His stock will increase when Quinn takes over . . .
