I'd say it's about 95% based on the reviews McCarthy and Rodgers have given to date.I think he has improved his chances to an almost 50% chance of making the 53-man roster next fall.

This. If he continues to run hard, not fumble and play thru pain. GB has will have struck gold with a guy who was trying to sell cars just this past October.I'd say it's about 95% based on the reviews McCarthy and Rodgers have given to date.I think he has improved his chances to an almost 50% chance of making the 53-man roster next fall.

While DuJuan Harris had offseason surgery to remove a cyst from one of his lungs and is dealing with a knee injury which will likely keep him out another week or two, that did not stop head coach Mike McCarthy from saying, “I’m excited to see when DuJuan Harris comes back, because I view him as our starter.”
Thiis is my line of thinking. He wants competition but I think he's just being respectful. In some non-Harbaughian circles, you can't lose the starting gig to injury alone.Harris will be given his opportunity but he's going to fall down the depth chart pretty quickly I think.Lacy owner, been following this pretty closely. I think to a certain degree there is some "coach speak" going on here to motivate the rookies (Lacy and Franklin). That being said, they sincerely like DuJuan Harris. Last year McCarthy made some pretty candid comments to the point that had they had him all year the running game would have been much more productive. He was clearly the guy at one point (due to injury) and made the most of his chances.
I see Lacy and Harris more in the mix than Franklin. I "cuffed" Lacy with Harris alone. Personally, I see Franklin as 3rd in the pecking order and barring injury most likely contributing on special teams. Lacy is a power back that does something different; he has a role here regardless IMO, and definitely the frontrunner for the goal line work. Harris may be getting what others expected Franklin to get this season.
Lol at anything thinking this is anything but a ludicrous attempt at coachspeak to motivate the other backs. The beat writers think Harris is 4th/5th in the RB pecking order and very much on the roster bubble. Him or Alex Green will be getting their pink slip. Personally, I think Lacy/Franklin/Starks are the three locks to make the roster, with Green taking the 4th spot unless Harris recovers and impresses real quick here in the preseason.Thiis is my line of thinking. Agree. They think so much of him they went out and drafted not one but two RBs this year. Lots of love there.Lol at anything thinking this is anything but a ludicrous attempt at coachspeak to motivate the other backs. To be fair, Harris was a pretty solid 3rd down back last year, given that he was basically picked up off the street.Agree. They think so much of him they went out and drafted not one but two RBs this year. Lots of love there.
I'm sure he was but you have to believe they want/need/expect more for Ted Thomspon to invest two draft picks into the position. To be fair, Harris was a pretty solid 3rd down back last year, given that he was basically picked up off the street.Agree. Harris needs to be worried because of the time off.Mighty Mice said:To be fair, didn't invest much in Franklin. Going back to last season, Harris looked good and was generating buzz. I think starks and green need to be worried more than Harris, provided hes healthy.
Find out soon!
this.Assuming Harris gets healthy, the Packers will keep Lacy, Harris and Franklin. They know they can't trust Starks to stay healthy, and Alex Green has shown little to nothing so far in his career. DuJuan Harris showed more in his short stint last year than Green has. The reason they drafted Lacy and Franklin wasn't to replace Harris. It was to replace Green and Starks IMO. They also don't want to be caught in a situation where they are picking up guys off the street again. (Ryan Grant etc).
My guess is all three will have limited fantasy appeal this year, and they'll all have plays designed for their particular strong suits.
I agree with this, but even though the thought was replacing Green and Starks, I don't see them cutting Starks. He's had a fantastic camp and I think he is the favorite for early-down work if an injury were to happen to Lacy. From what I've gathered on the beat reporter blogs, Starks has no reason to worry about getting cut. That leaves Green and Harris. Green hasn't done much but he will almost certainly be kept instead of Harris if Harris can't get on the field.this.Assuming Harris gets healthy, the Packers will keep Lacy, Harris and Franklin. DuJuan Harris - RB - Packers
According to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Packers RB DuJuan Harris' 2013 knee injury was a ruptured patellar tendon.
We knew the injury was to Harris' patellar tendon, but not that it was ruptured. This is an injury that commonly derails running back careers, most notably and recently Cadillac Williams and Ryan Williams. Ruptured patellar tendons can sap explosion. Harris participated in OTAs, and in June coach Mike McCarthy stated Harris "looks like he's back to full strength." Harris projects as Green Bay's No. 3 tailback this season, behind Eddie Lacy and James Starks.
