Dwayne Bowe (1 Viewer)

The last 2 weeks, Bowe was fortunate enough to play 2 of the worst pass defenses in the league. He performed exactly as we hoped he would perform against these defenses (actually he performed above expectation, posting 2 TD's and nice yardage in both). However, he looked far better than I expected him to look like putting up his numbers, making moves (each of the long TD's he had, one in each game), making great catches (the goal line fade he caught in the 2nd game), and generally looking like the talented player everyone believes he is for the first time in a long time.

What are people's thoughts on Bowe at this juncture? Has his performance been purely a product of the defenses he played? Is he FINALLY earning a piece of the pie in Kansas City after managing to crawl himself out of Haley's doghouse? Does his talent finally start to allow him to put up respectable numbers? What do people see out of him for the rest of the season?

If he continues at this pace, and KC does have a nice schedule, He is WR1 - but I just dont know if he can maintain. When cassell is pressured he lookes terrible. He is a solid WR2 who rode my bench until Malcolm Floyd got hurt.

He owns a big part of the passing pie. Trouble is, the pie is like a bitesize snack compared to most teams and their pass-happy attacks.

Sell high. He can't keep up a pace of anything close to 1 TD per 3.5 catches, and the targets aren't going to go up much. Cassel's only going to throw 20-25 passes, and plenty of them are going to McCluster, Moeaki and guys out of the backfield, etc.

I sold this week for Big Ben. I like the guy but I can see plenty of stinkers along the way. Like you guys said, KC likes to run and can.

Weis has no problem using a player as a decoy. He's a fine OC, but FF-wise I can't stand him for that. It throws such a monkey wrench into deciphering his players' production it stinks.
