what are the dynamics/reasons that it seems like at least half of NBA rookies are traded before they ever play for the team that first owned their rights and that almost NEVER does an NFL rookie not suit up for their initial team
i can think of the Eli/Rivers trade but thats about it
i mean for example why couldnt Miami sign ABradshaw and trade Daniel Thomas and a future pick for Orton?
but i imagine that for whatever unknown reasons teams don't even inquire about new draftees
i know one reason is that the NBA Free agency is AFTER the draft and NFL (usually) before but is that the only reason?
