Dynasty: 2014 Startup Draft Results Thread (1 Viewer)

Got my best one starting in 30min. Slow runner (24h clock), but these guys should get thru it pretty quickly. Super competitive dynasty in year 3) Will update this post as it goes.

 
Interesting the last few I've seen Julio has fallen to 7-9 slot. Seems like the latest news on

him not partaking in activities is causing the slide...

I took Julio at 9 in the one posted. Did not expect Charles and ADP to be off the board first. But, I certainly gave a lot of thought into taking Alshon there instead. Not a good deal of information out there about Julio's injury.

He broke his foot in october, i think they are just being cautious with him. I cant see a broke foot still causing problems come september...

Julio was a gift!i love ADP but he's no first rounder..

I love me some Alshon Jeffery at #12. This kid is the total package.

 
Boyz II Men - a couple DLF writers, other twitter personalities; 7 teams are young only, 7 teams are old only (cutoff: QB/TE: 27.5, RB/WR: 27). When 'young' player (like McCoy) crosses threshold, young team loses him at end of year, and will be in old draft following season.

Yeah I don't understand giving up 3.12 + 4.01 to move up to 2.02.Guy could have had Vincent Jackson at 4.01 (and just taken Watkins at 2.01)......and kept his 3.12 in the process.

Probably could have had VJAX in 6 th round...that's where he's gone in all 4 of my startups this year...

Curious when the Good News Bears add a RB. Rodgers and Brees in a Superflex is going to be tough regardless.

Meh. In a ppr where you can start up to 5 WRs and 2 QBs, I'm fine starting Danny Woodhead and DeAngelo Williams.***To clarify, I am not Good News Bears.

I wasn't hating on his strategy, just going QB-QB like he did put him ahead of the curve.

Yes i didnt see that VJAX pick coming at all?? But as another owner was very glad to see it obviously....

Yep and could be sign of things to come from that owner as well which bodes well for you also

Cincy had a great start with Julio and Gronk but then began drafting too much to win now (Stacy, Wright, Peyton) when he could have had Michael, Hopkins and Brees/Cam/Stafford.

Looks like Toronto Hitmen team to beat so far. Honestly seems likely other teams have had some real reaches. Thor's Hammer in particular giving away value. Got Jeffery at 1.4, Floyd at 2.9, Ellington at 3.4, Gerhart at 4.9, Sanders at 5.4...brutal. Floyd the only one that seems about right.

He went at 4.06 in mine. I don't think the owner is particularly high on him but just couldn't resist. I own Graham so I'm thinking of "downgrading" to Gronk if I can get him to throw in something nice.

Man, going Gordon Round 2 is suicide.Perhaps the guy knows about the NFL completely revamping their substance abuse policy that everyone else doesnt. The guy has had the issue his whole adult (and likely most of teenage) life. Short of the NFL completely taking it out of their policy, I don't see how this ends well for him.

Agreed especially since he went so RB heavy (and only 1 really young guy) and WR extremely weak. Not sure why he takes Peterson and then goes Gordon. Seems like a waste.
 
32 teams double copy draft, currently in rds 23 (NFC) & 25(AFC) of 30

Each owner picked an NFL franchise and started w/ 3 players from that franchise. NFC draft had an untouched AFC player pool, and vice versa for the AFC draft.

PPR, 1.5 PPR for TEs, Tackle Heavy (1.5TKL, 1.5TFL, 2SCK), Return Heavy (0.1 / KRY, 0.05 / PRY)

Starting Lineups: QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, FLX, FLX, K, DL, LB, LB, DB, DFLX

Is this a real dynasty league? Most of the picks scream redraft to me...

No not dynasty.The big Dynasty in front of the post your start up drafts results wasn't clear enough for me guess ya'll will have to dumb it down for me.Its is from a contest that is similar to the FBGs championship so it may help some folks get some ideas for future drafts.Thats why I left it up after realizing my front porch light must have been burning a little dim when I posted it.

Placeholder, I can't access MFL at work but just started a new Auction dynasty.

Start 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE & 4 FLEX (RB/WR/TE)

24 Roster spots with 3 taxi squad spots for rookies (50% of Salary)

Cap is $53,000,000

Shocked at some of the prices for rookies so far. They're way above the rookie wage scale that will be in effect for future rookie drafts.
