Texas A&M RB Tra Carson ran a 4.54 40-yard dash at 226 pounds during his Pro Day workout.
Carson chipped in a solid 37-inch vertical jump. "He did a good job of showing his foot is healthy today," an AFC scout in attendance said. "He planted firmly on it and didn’t show any hold up from the surgery. He seemed a little out of shape, but that is expected from a guy coming off foot surgery." Interestingly, HC Kevin Sumlin revealed that the Aggies moved back their Pro Day event a month to allow Carson to heal from toe surgery. "I think it speaks to his toughness to go through a season last year and rush for over 1,100 yards, and people don’t know he had a really severe toe injury and had to have surgery on that toe," Sumlin said. Carson rushed for 1,165 yards and seven touchdowns on 242 carries last year.

Tennessee WR Marquez North was put through a workout by the Panthers on Friday, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
North was at the facility for the club's local prospect day. A spectacular athlete with a similar athletic profile to former Baylor/current Browns WR Josh Gordon, North's body broke down several times in college. He's a Day 3 roll-of-the-dice kind of proposition.

RB Keenan Reynolds is at peace with a potential NFL position change, saying, "It doesn't bother me if I don't play quarterback anymore."
"I certainly do believe I can be an NFL quarterback. But it's a matter of, who wants to see me at that position? And whatever they want to see me as, that's what I am going to be doing," Reynolds said, adding, "Whatever I can do to be a successful member of a team, to help them win, it's OK with me." The 5-foot-9, 190-pounder is a potential slot receiver or running back at the next level. Reynolds indicated that most of the teams he has spoken with have talked to him about a transition to receiver. CBS Sports draft analyst Dane Brugler believes he could be selected in the later rounds of the draft, but a scout who spoke to ESPN referred to Reynolds as a "free-agent project," rather than a true draft-worthy commodity.

Western Kentucky TE Tyler Higbee was arrested on Sunday morning and charged with second-degree assault, alcohol intoxication in a public place and second-degree fleeing or evading of police.
Higbee was booked at the Warren County Regional Jail at 2:41 a.m. Sunday morning and is being held on $10,000 bond. There is no further information as to the exact cause of the arrest at this time, but expect details to filter in in the coming hours. The 6-foot-5, 251-pounder is one of the better tight ends in this draft pool, but his stock could take a major hit depending on the circumstances here.

Western Michigan WR Daniel Braverman has already visited the Vikings, Saints and Dolphins, according to Rand Getlin of NFL Media.
Braverman also has meetings with the Raiders, Bengals and Seahawks. Braverman is a true role player in the NFL, like a one use tool in the kitchen. He thrives in the slot, and his game matches up extremely well. Everyone will project Braverman to land with the Patriots, and it is possible, but the question is in what round? Also, the success rate is very low for drafted receivers who were not invited to the NFL Combine, but we will take our chances on Southern Miss' Mike Thomas and Braverman.

Draft insider Tony Pauline reports NFL teams are more optimistic about Cincinnati WR Chris Moore's projection than media evaluators.
Pauline notes many scouts view Moore as a fourth round talent, while others say late second day. Fourth round grades frequently are selected in round five and six, as boards vary across the league. Moore was more of a vertical receiver with the Bearcats, frequently targeted 20-plus yards downfield in the middle portions of coverage.

Police revealed more details of the altercation that resulted in WKU TE Tyler Higbee's arrest, including announcing the alleged victim remains in the hospital.
The victim "had a concussion as well as a hemorrhage in his brain or a brain bleed" after the altercation, and was flown to a different hospital due to the seriousness of his injuries. The first hand accounts from some witnesses paint an ugly picture for Higbee. Click the link at the bottom of the blurb to read more. UCLA WR Devin Fuller has visits or workouts scheduled with six teams before the draft.
NFL Network's Rand Getlin tagged the Dolphins, Chargers and Packers as three of the six teams in question here. No word as to what other trio will be bringing him in for a visit or workout. The 6-foot, 194-pound wideout melted the 40-yard dash during his mid-March Pro Day, running it in 4.37 seconds. Despite that ever-so-shiny mark, NFL Media analyst Lance Zierlein is of the opinion that Fuller "doesn't play to that speed on tape." Zierlein sees him as a potential Day 3 pick who might have to scratch and claw to stick on an NFL roster.

South Carolina WR Pharoh Cooper visited the Steelers on Monday.
Doff the cap to Penn Live's Jacob Klinger for relaying this one. While Cooper falls outside of the top-tier of receivers in this draft class, value could still remain. Both ESPN's Todd McShay and Pro Football Focus' Gordon McGuiness would like him as a third-round prospect, with McGuiness noting in mid-March that "there is a lot of potential there for him to create big plays."

The Vikings interest in the draft's top WR prospects "is not subterfuge," according to 1500 ESPN's Andrew Krammer.
Krammer goes on to compare Laquon Treadwell's pre-draft narrative to Sharrif Floyd's from a few years ago, who lasted until No. 23 despite many media evaluators loving his projection. We believe many receivers in this class will have an immediate impact, and at least one of Tradwell, Corey Coleman, Josh Doctson and Michael Thomas will still be on the board when the Vikings pick at No. 23 this year.

The Backyard Banter's Matt Harmon says Tulsa WR Keyarris Garrett's "size, speed and legitimate upside are real" and calls him the "unicorn" of the receiver class.
Garrett posted a cool 96-1,588-8 line last year, taking 97.6 percent of his snaps on the right side of the field, mostly on the line of scrimmage. Like Corey Coleman, Garrett's route tree is limited right now, because the Baylor-now-Tulsa system simplifies the assignments of its receivers. We know Garrett can run the deep route, and he gets you off of that with nifty curl routes. Outside of that, he'll need to be taught. Harmon believes Garrett "needs some cleaning up in regards to his technique and mental approach to the game" because he struggled against zone coverage. The 6-foot-3 1/2, 221-pounder with 34-inch arms had one of this year's most underrated Combine showings, running a nice 4.53 forty for his size with a broad jump of 128". "...there’s no denying that he is a unique entity in this draft class for even giving us the opportunity to imagine a high ceiling for him to hit," Harmon wrote.

According to Bleacher Report's Jason Cole, there's a "growing sense" the Cowboys will target a QB with the No. 4 pick.
This smells like a smokescreen. There's a chance that what Dallas really wants is to get leapfrogged by a QB-needy team via a trade with Tennessee for the No. 1 pick. In that scenario, quarterbacks would go 1-2 and FSU DB Jalen Ramsey, reportedly the Cowboys' No. 1 prospect, would have a far better chance of dropping to No. 4. Of course, TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline recently reported that North Dakota State QB Carson Wentz is one of the top three names on the Cowboys' draft board, so maybe they aren't posturing at all. Joey Bosa, DeForest Buckner and Ezekiel Elliott are other possibilities for Dallas.

Both CBS Sports' Dane Brugler and NFL Media's Lance Zierlein are reporting that the Browns will consider moving down from the No. 2 pick.
Now this would be a stunner. It's possible that upon evaluation the Browns haven't found a huge gap between the Carson Wentz/Jared Goff and Connor Cook/Christian Hackenberg tiers and prefer to accumulate picks. Trading down would be a big risk, obviously. If Paxton Lynch goes earlier than expected and Connor Cook gets snapped up in the middle of the first round, the Browns may find the music has stopped before they've found their franchise face.

NFL Media's Lance Zierlein compares Louisiana Tech QB Jeff Driskel to Drew Stanton.
Zierlein likes Driskel's physical tools, but believes he's a ways off. "With his upside and traits, Driskel is worthy of a day three selection and could yield dividends with patience and coaching," Zierlein wrote. The 6-foot-4, 234-pound Driskel was the Conference USA Newcomer of the Year in 2015 after throwing for 4,033 passing yards and a 28/7 TD/INT rate.

NFL scouts have become "enamored" with Western Kentucky TE George Fant, according to TFY Draft Insider's Tony Pauline.
One man's misfortune is another man's opportunity. So it is for Fant, who scouts dug into after Tyler Higbee's arrest on assault charges. Fant, a former all-conference basketball player at WKU, has workouts booked with the Bengals, Broncos, Cardinals, Chargers, Saints and Seahawks. He caught only one pass in 2015, but was obviously new to the sport. At a monstrous 6-foot-5, 296 pounds, Fant runs the forty in 4.8 seconds. "Fant has received consideration at offensive tackle, working out at the position for several teams, but scouts believe he's a good enough pass-catcher that he should drop weight and continue playing tight end," Pauline wrote.
