This class is loaded at RB, WR and TE. Best all around class I've ever seen. Of course, some will be totally neutralized when they get drafted by a bad team or a team already loaded at the position. Could be the best TE class ever.

Anywhere close to the 14' draft?
I think this draft is most similar to 15 draft, just little bit deeper and  a fair bit deeper in TE premium leagues.   I thought 15 draft and this one both strong at top but neither have depth of that 14 draft. Good depth, just not much. I did two startups in 15 and you would typically see 3 rookies off the board by end of second round and you'd generally see 11th rookie off the board somewhere in 5th round area usually. That draft at the time had an almost consensus top 11 which is why I mention top 11. I see this years draft as similar, I can see around 3 rookies off the board by end of round two in startups and most of rookie first round(top 12) gone near exit of 5th round.

Very deep RB group, I give it edge over that 15 and 14 draft for RB's and while not as strong as I expected it would be I think best RB draft class since 2008 at least.

I am one who does not think the WR position is deep and to me it's the main thing holding back overall depth of this draft class. Top two are better than last years top two options, probably not as highly rated as top 2 prospects in 15 draft and for sure not 14 draft. I think that 15 draft had better options after top two(Cooper/White vs Williams/Davis) and I mean how we perceived them at the time. I think Parker, Agholor, and Perriman as all first round picks to decent situations will look more attractive to people than WR options 3-5 in this years draft.

On paper best looking TE class I've ever seen.  I stress the "on paper" part as reality of beating 2011 TE draft class is something I'm just never going to predict but this years group will rate higher when we are doing rookie drafts. Same thing when I discuss 15 draft and someone like David Johnson. I'm not talking about what he became when I analyze this draft vs 15 draft, I'm looking at how he was rated when we drafted.

That's my opinion anyway. Good year to be in RB or TE market.

I know, it's early. But there is no way Green Bay drafts Christian McCaffery in the first when they have a player like that in Montgomery already. From here on out, Montgomery is a running back that an also return. Similar player in my view, though Montgomery may be a little less dynamic. Just ain't going to happen in Green Bay with the needs they have for pass rushers and corners.

I personally don't like Montgomery as a RB.  Besides that one great game he looked unsure of himself as he hit the line.

Sorry Faust, don't want to come into your turf but here is Matt Millers updated top 100 from this morning, not a mock but he has Mixon at player #23 but I'm guessing he's just basing it on talent and not taking into account the off the field stuff.

Clemson junior WR Artavis Scott declared for the NFL Draft.
Scott had 76 receptions for 614 receiving yards and five touchdown catches for the national champs. The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder is a projected mid-round pick. He leaves school as Clemson's all-time leading receiver. Scott joins quarterback Deshaun Watson, running back Wayne Gallman and receiver Mike Williams in declaring for the Draft early.

West Virginia redshirt sophomore WR Shelton Gibson declared for the NFL Draft.

Gibson indicated that he had received "favorable feedback from the NFL," but we haven't heard what he was told. Gibson is gifted, but raw and unrefined. The 5-foot-11, 188-pounder is a burner who can take the top off of defenses, but he ran a limited route tree in college and will have to rely on his pro coaches to teach him the finer points of the position. For those reasons, we would have advised him to return to school (though Gibson may have felt compelled to jump into this weak crop of receivers). He had only 43 catches this past season, but turned them into 951 yards and eight touchdowns on 22.1 yards per catch. Walter Football mocked him to the Rams in the second round (No. 37) of a recent mock draft.

Probably not but I think he continues to be a major part of the backfield but to the point someone initially raised. I don't see them drafting someone like a McCaffery when they have Montgomery.
This. I believe Lacy comes back on a team friendly deal, mostly because he is coming off injury and is never really in shape. Are teams really going to shell out a big contract?

Lacy isn't the long term answer, but with other holes to fill, I can easily see it being Lacy, Montgomery, Ripkowski, Kerridge, and then another RB of some sort. It won't be a first round pick.

I really hope Lacy leaves. GB doesn't know how to use a good RB (Averaged 5+ yards per carry this year).  Imagine Lacy on the Colts...
Would be pretty smart on the colts part, get a good rb on a pretty cheap deal in FA while using there too draft picks on lineman. As a Lacy owner in my main dynasty that's been the spot I've been hoping for since GB stopped giving him goal line touches.

Monty is a jag. And looked lost at times. Could he improve?? Sure but i bet ya lacy walks and there are probably 15 more natural rbs than ty in this draft.......sell high in dyno on him boys

You mean if Green Bay offer him a contract which I doubt.

Lacy has to take his opportunities seriously. With all these stud running backs coming out why would anyone deal with that headache?

The Colts are not going to sign the bum! Lol why would they? They are likely to draft a rookie which they should.

:two cents:

I don't see how Lacy magically improves by switching from the Packers to the Colts. But that's just IMO.
He doesn't have to improve that much to have the same type of season gore has had, Lacy was running very good this year, can he break off a long TD, no he can't but he can get 100 yards on 20+ carries, GB was giving him 12.

Are the colts going to use a high draft pick (first 2 rounds) or a later one to get that RB.

Monty also sickle cell trait.  Who knows how long he'll be able to play? The NFL is hard enough without a chronic medical illness. If I'm Green Bay I draft a RB this year

#1RB on the colts? they use there draft picks to improve there line, find a guy that's better for third downs and I easily see him having a season as good as gore this year, which was 1000 yards and 4 TDs and actually turbin stole a couple
I meant "availability".

The main difference between Eddie Lacy in years 1-2 and years 3-4 has been injuries and TDs. He averaged 4.1 and 4.6 ypc in years 1-2 and 4.1 and 5.1 in years 3-4.  The last 2 years Gore averaged 3.7 and 3.9. I bet the Colts would love to have Lacy, and they could sign him to a 1-2 year prove it deal.

Lacy is like many bigger backs, he wears down defenses and does his best work in the 4th quarter. If he gets 14 carries, that's not enough to wear down a defense.

Also, this is influenced by any preconceived notions you may have about Lacy.  Some people just see him as that fat back who can't stop eating, instead of the back that was once touted as better than Leveon Bell.  I don't think he's either, probably somewhere in the middle. But definitely better than some other starting RBs out there. He's better than Rob Kelly, Ryan Mathews, Latavius Murray, Frank Gore, Mark Ingram, Yeldon, Ivory, Powell, Forte, Stewart, Hill, Bernard, Ware, West, and Crowell (to name a few), in my mind at least.

Time will tell but I truly don't think so he's a jag at all. I do think he'll improve but he is also averaging 6 yards a pop. I think he's a dynamic weapon who is permanent part of the Green Bay offense, I just don't think he's a feature back but more of a complimentary back in a Gio/Riddick type role.

If you look at Lacy/Michaels/Starks they combined for 165 carries and 617 yards. Monty the Jag who just made an in-season switch to RB has 74% of that rushing total on 46% of the carries plus his best trait is what he gives you as a reciever out of the backfield. Also in terms of negative plays I just looked at him vs Lacy, who was second most successful runner on the team this year. Ty has zero or negative yards on 10 out of his 77 carries for a 12.9% clip and Lacy has 13 negative or zero yard plays on 71 carries for a 18.3% clip.

Stat wise he's got high rushing YPC, does good job of gaining positive yardage and is a tremendous asset in the passing game.

I find his main issues to be instincts and upright running style when on the field, some of that can improve. But his single biggest issue I believe is staying on the field. He's a wound up tight muscular guy with sickle cell issues and seems combo of both of those things has him with a lot of minor tweaks.

Draft Analyst's Tony Pauline reports that FSU junior WR Travis Rudolph will declare for the NFL Draft.
Rudolph has been projected in the middle- to late-rounds in industry mock exercises. He caught 56 passes on 100 targets (only five drops) for 851 yards and seven touchdowns in 2016. A runner of smooth routes and the possessor of strong hands, Rudolph is a "well-rounded receiver" who "lacks elusiveness in the open field," according to CBS. In other words, the 6-foot-1, 185-pounder is a possession receiver. Nyqwan Murray and Auden Tate are now locked in as the Seminoles' go-to receivers next year. The deadline to declare for the NFL draft is Jan. 16.

Yes. I felt the same watching him play. He's fairly good w the ball in his hands, but looked uncomfortable and unsure of what to do on all the other necessities of being a RB.

Yea I've also been thinking of how lost, uncomfortable and JAG like Ty Montgomery has looked this season as he's been bumbling his way to almost 6 YPC.
